Unlynch MQ, lynch Hmoo.

No reason to think she's a wolf, but I have reason to think Zen is village, and Hmoo might get enough votes to save Zen.

Yeah, but everyone else is a villager, too.

I got bandwagoned last game during the end of the lynch cycle even after defending myself... Would really rather lynch someone who's not around than someone who is active and got killed early last game. Plus, I'm actually putting in an effort learning about the theme. Please don't lynch me at the beginning of this game :arghh: my ability is very useful and I can prove it if you give me a chance.

Of course I remembered 9PM lynch time and my brain made it CST instead of that pesky EST. My 20-minute-turned-2-hour nap also didn't help. I think we're ever destined for the last minute cluster...

The game loaded up effortlessly, and our young man found himself standing at the very edge of a chaotic biome change. To his left, spruce trees grew tall and dark, and a light snowfall sprinkled effortlessly down onto the rich earth. To his right, a sprawling desert was being drenched in a downpour, a squid flopping and splashing against the shore of a small oasis pool. In the distance, the faintest glimmer of torch lights were visible in the dim dusk light.

That seemed like as good of a place to investigate as any, and he started off at a run to his right. That is, until a very strange scene caught his eye:

An enderman and mooshroom (what was that doing in a desert anyway?) were staring at each other menacingly near the small pond. Each moved slightly closer to one another - the mooshroom in it's shambly, ungainly way, and the enderman with a "vwooop!" and puff of purple smoke as it disappeared and reappeared just a few steps ahead. The tension grew, and then the mooshroom broke - he barreled headfirst at the enderman, who deftly teleported out of the way and dropped his jaw in a terrifying smile of derision.

The enderman was caught completely off guard as the mooshroom charged him again, and they both tumbled harshly into the pond. Endermen hate water - for some reason, it simply does not interact well with their body composition - so he gasped in pain, and had begun to teleport away when his head smashed against a rock with a very sickening "thunk." His arm emerged back from the purple haze it had begun to disappear into, and he abruptly sunk heavily to the bottom of the pond.

The mooshroom seemed shocked, and perhaps even a little sad when the enderman - @hazelmoo - dissapeared for the very last time.

The man moved along before he was noticed. It was getting dark.

It is now Night 1 (odd). Night will close at 7AM EST tomorrow.

Please try to get actions in tonight.

Screw whoever did this :arghh: go villagers :p

So, there we have what is technically a hostile mob in the game but turned up villager here.
(A Frienderman, for any AH fans out there)
Not going to outright say roles are meaningless but at least we know hostile mob does not equal wolf. I don't know who or what our main character here would consider to be antagonists, but that's probably what we're looking for.

I am confused though, the fight thing makes it seem like a tie break, but Zen was a vote ahead.

Someone could have multiple votes.
Someone's vote could be null.
Could have been an ability or item that Zen had which deflected to the 2nd highest.

(Wild speculation: The lynch dynamic may not be what we assume it to be. We take for granted that most votes = dead is them. But maybe it is different than we expect. And that could get really weird. Maybe it isn't the highest number over all, but the highest odd number on odd days and even number on even days.)

It was with me! I'm sad you don't remember... @Cephal0pod made the awesome items like the ficus tree?
Edit: I baby modded with you :)

And a glorious ficus tree it was.

Someday I will have a schedule that is able to accommodate WW again... :xf:

Promo pls

I'm quite serious. I labeled it as wild speculation, but this is a game partially based on Salvador Dali and run by a very creative game maker.

My differential started with reasonable explanations that are worth considering. Including one little zebra fish at the end is not at all absurd.

Endermen are neutral- the only truly hostile mobs are cave spiders, creepers, skeletons, zombies, silverfish, and everything in the Nether that isn't a zombie pigman.

Slimes and witches attack without provocation, too.

I don't know that I would call something that kills you if you look at it wrong "neutral", at least the zombie pigmen only attack if you attack first :p

The wiki calls them neutral mobs though, so fine. But cave spiders are on that list too. I'm guessing the distinction is between those that will kill you under the right circumstances, vs those that will seek you out and kill you no matter what.

Regular spiders actually aren't aggro unless the light level is low- they are technically neutral mobs.
I read up on it. Cave spiders are the same. You just don't see them in bright light very often, because caves.

It is now Night 1 (odd). Night will close at 7AM EST tomorrow.

I would bet that the extra emphasis on it being an odd night (for those that never learned or don't remember elementary number classifications:p) does mean that even versus odd nights are important.

Do odd things happen on odd nights? Do Dali twists occur on odds versus evens?

I think this might be something to watch.

It could also just be mod-help for people who might have abilities that only work on odd or even nights, but I like where your head's at. :D

PS, been driving all day and finally in Chicago. Also, @Trilt, I listened to Dragonflight for 5 out of 9 hours of my drive and it passed the time so quickly! Really like it so far!
Hah nice! Audiobooks+Anne McCaffrey = best way to road trip! Glad you're liking it :D

Do you know something? And why are you not playing? Granted you'd probably be the one lynched today but still... :p

Not a fan of the whole lynch silliness....
Hopefully it is a one time thing? :)

I actually think Promos theory could hold some merit. It is straightforward, as messy as it makes the lynch turnout. We will have to keep an eye on the results tomorrow.

Another aspect is it could have been part of Zen's ability. If he/she has a lynch avoidance, but instead of no one dying the next person in line is lynched. Since we are not learning abilities in the writeups, there could be some more cases of mods withholding info. @Zensing any comment?

I like that here it feels like more banter/chatter is tolerated
I like to play a serious game, but I don't want to have to be serious while doing it

Hayley revealed to me and if her role isn't a villager the this game is messed up. I believe her villageryness at this time.

This line of thinking is off/wrong. We cannot use role names to assess v/w.

At least, not yet. I suppose it's possible it's some sort of reverse game, where ender man, dragon, zombies, etc., are all wolves and steve and sheep and ... whatever are villagers. But I doubt that. I think the roles are just random.

So I don't like Jilary's thinking on this one.

Deadline 6 pm PST, 9 pm EST.

Are we allowed to role reveal in this game?

My first WW was the recent JDH game, and I knew more of them from the lounge than here. This is my 2nd. I've played with a few of you.
They can probably tell you I try hard to gamesolve

All truth, though Crayola got kinda CrayCray in that JDH game. But yes, tried to solve, etc.
