Should I call and express my interest to this Med School ???

So my stats are sub-par, but I went ahead and applied for medical school anyway this cycle. There are a few school that I realistically expect anything from, especially my in state med school. Should I call and express interest in these schools ? I feel that a letter would just get lost with the others and not mean much. What you guys think ?

You won't get anywhere with phone calls pre-interview. Send letters IMO
