CONGRATS!!! I assume these are OOS acceptances? Just want to clarify that us Texans won't know November 15th right? Ah so so close!!
 
I have an interview at TCOM for November 10. For those of you who have interviewed, what types of questions did you receive during your interview? If you interviewed for the ROME program, what types of questions did you receive during that interview? Thank you.
 
my status just switched from "you have been invited for an interview" to "under review." I interviewed 10/7. So I hope to hear back soon! Really hope I have a chance as an OOS applicant! 😀
 
For those invited for interviews: Did your status changed from "Your application has been received." and "This application is Complete" to anything else? My status has been like this for more than 6 weeks... :/

Mine still says "under review," I interviewed months ago. Have you checked last years thread to see if it came up there?

mine actually said "your application is complete" even after getting the interview invite. It showed up as "you have been invited for an interview" after I interviewed. It also stayed that after my interview. It wasn't until today where the status changed to "under review." I think there is a slight delay in the status updates.
 
So I noticed at my interview when we sat in on the MS1 lecture that all the students had their new netbook/tablet combo that the school provides with all the powerpoints, etc. preloaded.

Anyone know the make/model of that tablet laptop?

It's the HP Elitebook 2760p, but every year gets something different. The current MS2s had a Dell tablet notebook. From what I've heard, the iPad was even one of the contenders for us MS1s.

It was preloaded with the Dissector and Prossector programs that we use for anatomy lab and the Microsoft Office programs. The powerpoints weren't on there since they tend to be updated.

I personally found this to be a very handy laptop. Being able to write on the ppt slides is a huge plus, and they are pretty fast (i5 and 8GB ram). We also got an external hard drive and external CD drive, along with an HP backpack.

Ya they are pretty sweet but with all craziness that's been going on at hp I wouldnt expect to get the sa,e computer. But wh knows for the most part I think ppl like the tablet pc style so well try to keep it going for the next class.

What's coming around? Prematch?
I remember pre matching, it's such an awesome feeling although I don't remember much that day or who I told first(I think it was the girlfriend or Facebook lol). Haven't heard much from interviewees recently, what y'all thinking, how many of y'all have checked out the new 3rd floor library set up?

This is so good to hear. My stats are slightly less than yours... I was transmitted in late June. Haven't heard anything back from any of the TX schools... but I'm hoping I get some love too.

I loved my interview day up in Fort Worth. We didn't go up to the third floor in the library though :/ What did we miss?!

I'm really nervous/excited/anxious/close to having a panic attack! Ha just kidding, but I am really hoping for good news in FIVE DAYS!!!

That's awesome. U didn't miss much it's just a new study area w some new awesome toys , multi touch virtual dissector and some study spaces. It's a very vibrant atmosphere just wanted to hear some feedback on what some of y'all who had interviewed thought about it
 
It looks like somebody forgot that the 3rd floor is now open. It is a very nice improvement. I hope the management will keep adding space - both study and parking - to accommodate the new pharmacy school as well.
 
It's true, the third floor was gorgeous. Just be careful of the poltergeist up there! He stole my tie...
 
So I'm just now getting off work and have no idea how I'm supposed to sleep knowing the news we might get in 21 hours! Hope everyone is able to go through their day with minimal anxiety 😛

I dont think we get TMDSAS notification til match. From previous threads in the past the schools are responsible for contacting the students about pre-match and some will call the students while others email.

Yeah I just didn't do enough research so I dug around in TCOM's thread last year. It looks like a status change on the TCOM myHSC admission status happens first, starting at 10am. They also did follow-up phone calls that afternoon 🙂

Hope everyone can sleep tonight, I'm anxious to hear about everyone's 'accepted' status tomorrow 😉
 
Yeah, check your myHSC account status first thing in the morning. Last year they updated that and called us throughout the day to formally congratulate us (which I think is an awesome personal touch, but I may be biased.) I wasn't expecting any news until later in the day, so I had a few drinks the night before, slept in, checked SDN when I woke up and saw people saying that their status had changed...and so had mine! They called me right before 5pm that day.

Good luck tomorrow y'all! And remember, LOTS of people get in after November 15, so don't get discouraged if you don't get the news you want tomorrow. This is a long process, so just hang in there and stay positive 🙂
 
No acceptances yet!?

From last year's thread it looks like people started getting updates on myHSC a little after 10 AM.

Not sure what time zone you're in, but central time is only just after 9... one hour to go! I'm gonna go for a run before then to clear my mind!
 
I'm also in Central Time. I need to get rid of some energy, but I'm anchored to this desk at work so I can only fidget and twitch nervously haha. If I get an acceptance I may just walk out, though!

I felt really great about this interview, I will be crushed if it doesn't result in an offer... 🙁
