Wwar of Three WWorlds- Game Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Well I marched into my own personal hell of confusion and paranoia, still managed to get to the right conclusion but was so unsure of everything that I definitely didn't push it hard enough lol

Did Jil have the armor yesterday though?
No, krabs has had it since n3 or something early like that. Gifted it to nyan last night. haha

AM was a smart cookie and I think really at heart knew Nyan probably had it, but didn't trust herself. She even clarified that someone could have an item, have used it overnight, then received a gifted item. She was the most spot on this game, but alas, she ended up locked in purgatory.

I also had the speed setting on this game set for high. I only wanted a short game as I had a twinge, but not a full blown charley horse to mod. So much more death with ties and such that if someone else wanted to give this type of game a go, or even I want to reshuffle and do again at some point, it doesn't have to be done quite the same. Lots of fun changes but same basic design to run again and again.
Villagers sucked no doubt but your design is flawed imo.

A traditional ww game with no pm , a seer and an angel has a 6 to 1 ratio. If you essentially remove steering, and take away pm you have to increase the villager to wolf ratio from the more recent 4ish to 1 to give village a chance. And with multiple kills and a random killer as well, the village was in a difficult spot.

Your strategy of using the gatekeeper couldn't work well with only one seer, who was killed early (lucky wolves) but also no communication. How are we to trust the gatekeeper?

Still it was a fun game, I appreciate your modding, not whining in any way, just disagree with the setup.

For me personally, I have to rethink playing ...I feel my little time to read hurt the village, but of course I had a lot of company and even the most active villagers sucked, so not sure what to think,

I have to tip my hat to Kara, she was a great wolf this game. I really was too busy to be playing, especially to be a wolf.

WZ - last nights timing was for sure all a set up. We were going to have Kara switch her vote to LIS last minute, but then. We realized he could change his vote for self preservation, so I suggested that Ny and I switched, and obviously once she switched, I could easily claim self preservation. The night before really was when I got back on. I actually checked in right before close and I wrote a long post about the tie being a terrible idea, but lynch closed while I was writing, so I deleted and made the short grump post instead.

AM also played a really good game! I meant that part in our PM. 🙂

Shelter's questions were all legit too, she wasn't pulling the noob card. She seered as village so we were hoping she'd make it until the end, but obviously that didn't work out.

I enjoyed you and ny letting me buy items like crazy, push my ideas for night kills, and helping you and shelter write things to try to get out of trouble. Definitely could have been posting more but the village let me off too easily

that timing was also to keep me from looking even more sketchy than I should have already been looking

I felt like I was going nuts last night. I couldn't say I was 100% sure about the wolves because I didn't seer them or anything, but ugh. I was hoping at least Jil would call my thoughts crazy so I'd know they were right.

He was so remarkably close as usual for all the wrong reasons, then he died and you all marched into the sea. lol

I still stand by all my choices this game. Consolidating to two created a logic puzzle which allowed us (the dead chat) to easily determine that Jilary was the wolf. If we didn't tie then, we would have Lynched the other one the next day and wasted two days. What sucked about the tie is I thought it was more based off the fact that Dubz had seen Jilary get attacked, but apparently she tracked FFM not Jilary, which was frustrating (as I thought she was implying that without openly saying, "yes I tracked her.")

Most of dead chat had it figured out with the exception of Kara. People either felt Kara or Dubz.

I will agree with SOV that there should have been one less wolf in a game with a serial killer, as you should never assume the serial killer will take out a wolf for you. But it was expected, as lupin games tend to be a tad on the wolf heavy side (which unlike LIS I don't necessarily see as a bad thing).

Overall very fun game, even if people saw me get a tad frustrated from the sidelines.

It's not <inherently> a bad thing - as long as it is compensated for. But more often than not, it isn't, and it results in a balance that isn't great.

MOST of our pre-vet SDN games are unbalanced because people are so mechanic-heavy, and that makes it harder to balance.

the mechanic of only being able to kill within a group is a little limiting for wolves and makes them a little easier to figure out too, though. having wolfed in a few of those types of games, that does add a bit of a difficulty dynamic imo

I disagree. The mafia games rely on people using their ability to question people and have instincts for when someone is taking maybe a little too long to reply, voting in a manner that seems to have an agenda behind, etc. The games that we have played here were built on solid info for village wins, which isn't a good thing in my opinion.

That isn't true that 4 wolves in a 20 person game is too heavy. Especially, as stated, they were going to be restricted to killing on the planet they were on. There was a lot of protection and tracking built into the game, but with the pooling, it took away the usefulness of those abilities.

Lol if I had tracked Jilary I would have seen nothing, since she didn't go anywhere.
I initially asked her what had happened to her because I was trying to figure out FFM's ability without outing him. Didn't end up mattering because he had to out himself...and then the prodding basically had me outting myself...but alas.

4 wolves in a 20 person game with a serial killer that can do EON kills is too heavy imo, coming from the person who used to do much worse ratios. I have seen that doing those ratios almost always leads to a wolf win, hence my shifting of ratios in my more recent games, and it's come out in a slight villager favor. I think there is nothing wrong with wolf heavier games, makes it more of a challenge as a villager.

Why'd everybody wanna kill Kam? 🙁

Ny originally wanted either stl or am for the lols as they were gatekeeper candidates but didn't factor in location. We were avoiding kills on cthulu with 2 of us there. Jil wanted am as gatekeeper and I thought that was good. Jil suggested kam for some reason and I went with it.

Jil also guessed stl would move to hatari and seered him that night which is where the clarification that confused everyone came from

One more thing that made me laugh was also the worry of the "Pippy", in which a wolf seriously bombs the timing of a last minute vote change to bring victory to the wolves. bahahahahhahahahaha
I checked my heartrate on my fitbit during the FFM lynch, and it went up to 130! I as really worried I'd screw it up.

😢 srsly
I forget why I picked Kam. I think because I didn't have another reason NOT to kill her N1, which either I or one of the other wolves had reasons for everyone else, either location or died early in a recent game. I really like Kam, it definitely wasn't anything personal.

haha these guys were really worried that i was going to screw up the lynch of myself too. i got messages on all media. i felt very loved. 😍

I was really bummed when you switched off my "genius" tie plan.

Destroying the best laid wolfy plans through incompetency since 2017 :hello:

This is definitely the best working together group of wolves I've seen from a mod perspective for quite some time. They strategized their hearts out.
This makes my heart happy. I love a pack that works together!

It's always that one minor detail...
Definitely one of those situations where village needed to not split their vote - which was very similar to the situation in Lion King when Pip messed up her vote switch 😉

We were a team for sure. I was glad to have each of them on my side.

I almost brought up the fact that ny was voting for me. It should have made someone wonder wtf was going on.
