What are your thoughts on the "chemical restraint"?

Also, @LetItSnow could you post your results for that night? I would like some more info on that.
I'd have to go back and read that writeup but since we haven't seen it again I'm kinda thinking it might have been a drug thing.

Incidentally, I feel great guys! Absolutely smashing!

So, I kinda disagree. He got a posting restriction from the drugs, I think, but the missing person/chemically restrained thing was timed differently (based on how I'm reading it in the thread). It was also in the write up, which the other drugs were not.

Sounds like maybe a posting restriction

I actually don't have a posting restriction as far as I know, but I did take a drug that made me feel great, and now everyone loves me!
What drug was it and did you get any actions from it?

And if you insist that it’s not a posting restriction then I’m a lil uncomfortable. :|

Oxypheranol

Was just told it made me super happy, and my attitude was so contagious that it made everyone love me. No other effects.

That's true. I just can't figure out why we wouldn't have seen it again. One time use? Every four days? Idk.

Oh, addendum, when I said it might have been a drug thing, I meant one that someone used on him, not a drug he took

What are your thoughts on the "chemical restraint"?

Also, @LetItSnow could you post your results for that night? I would like some more info on that.

I already posted precisely (cut 'n paste) what RM sent me about the chemical restraint, and then also what Kaydubs sent me about the subsequent role restriction.

But because I respect the lazy:

Monday, 9:14pm, RM: "LIS, effective immediately you have been kidnapped and chemically restrained. You are unable to post on the main thread or PM for the time being."

(I had posted one or two things, so I deleted them. Somebody noted that I deleted a post or two. I subsequently started liking everything until people realized what was going on.)

Monday, 11:10pm, me: "OOps. Will go delete."

Monday, 11:11pm, me, being grumpy LIS: "But seriously, silencing?

There's a reason nobody does silencing anymore.

Sigh."

Tuesday, 5:06am, Kaydubs: "Someone wants you gone 😱"

Tuesday, 6:59am, Kaydubs: "Strap on your doozy googles.
Night 3 results:
Last night felt so good, but you overdosed. 😱😱😱 But fear not!!!

As such, you may only post 1x on the thread during lynch cycle with some specific caveats:
Your post must be primarily rambling based but you may either bold (and/)or italicize 5 key words.

You may submit a lynch vote in PM and you will show up in tally.

We clear, St.Fluffet?"

That's true. I just can't figure out why we wouldn't have seen it again. One time use? Every four days? Idk.

I had the posting restriction. And I see zero reasons that I would have made that one up. That was an unbelievable burden. One I wonder if was meant to silence me some. Not that it did 😛

I interpreted those (RM's message to me about being chemically restrained / silenced vs Kaydubs message to me about the post restriction) as independent events.

It's possible, though, that there was mod disagreement/misunderstanding and it was really one event and Kaydubs had to come clarify it after RM gave me the silencing instructions, I suppose.

I don't know. *shrug*

And I will say this kinda off the cuff/topic as a tangent, etc.

This is the part of the game I really, really hate. There are 50% relatively active players (me, Pippy, WZ, Crayola).

The other 50% are inactive to only very mildly active (Coopah, Weim, Ny, Capri).

I hate this, because if there's one thing I really despise, it's a wolf coasting to victory just by staying under the radar, so if that's what is happening here ... it's lame. It's been a while since I modded, but fair warning - when I come back to modding, if you're a wolf, do <not> expect you can coast to victory. You will have to earn it.

Any thoughts about that pre-emptive "I knew allie was village" post?

Ok but for realz. Even though I’m not the one you directed your question towards, I’m gonna answer anyway. I said a few days ago that Cray seemed off in her posting, like tamer than normal almost, but I wasn’t sure if it was due to the beginning of the game. In the days immediately following that she became more like Cray. It was after that I remember seeing a couple other mentions that Cray was off, as in posting more aggressively than usual, so maybe she overcorrected. And like I can’t do meta reads for ****; even if I had played 20 games I don’t know how I would keep up with anyone’s meta. The preemptive brag, I agree, was sketch, it does not read AT ALL like something she could point back to to prove she called Allie as village. If that were the case, I would think a better option would be to not use past tense. That’s the biggest giveaway, I think.

TL;DR - Cray seemed too calm, and then too cray, and used past tense.

Lynch Cray

But I’m not married to it and may change later. I’ve never seen Cray wolf, after all, and it’s not like she has an extensive wolf history like some players in this game.

this is why I like posting rules, like 3 active for content

it was mentioned that this might discourage players signing up, but I liked the game where had that

@WildZoo why are you lynching capri vs cray? You had been saying for days that you felt like cray was wolfy, and then last night you were questioning her quite a bit...

Any thoughts about that pre-emptive "I knew allie was village" post?
On the off chance we're wrong about cray, and in case there is another wolf, I didn't want to completely stall discussion by contributing to an already forming bandwagon.

Honestly that post didn't factor in for me. On first read I just thought she was responding that way because clearing up the mod error revealed that Allie probably hadn't been lying about not getting results, and cray likes to gloat.

Bummer. If some super low number of post requirements discourages people, then they needed to be discouraged. The very best games have been with lower numbers and more active players.

Not the posting restriction, the being kidnapped

Hmm.

This is the second time this game I have had to prompt you to cast a lynch vote.

Given how things went down in the noob game, how do you think that should be interpreted?

You hadn't taken any drugs yourself that night, right?

Because reading over it again I'm thinking they were linked. You overdosed in the chemical restraint, whatever that was, and that led to the posting restriction.

If you read it in the context of the thread, I feel like it is less likely they are linked because of timing

No one seems to get it was said in the past tense because I had said more than once I was leaning village on Allie, and I thought she wasn't the best lynch

as we went along I felt more and more that way, as I said

Pippy didn't post actually good reasons until the day off, but she'd been voting or wanting to lynch allie from the start, and I think it just started a bandwagon idea

it's fine, I'll die, flip village, and you'll see it was nothing of the sort of "wolf slip"

I knew it wouldn't prove me village, duh
I knew it would bring me heat, that you guys would WIFOM me that the fact I was OK taking that heat was because I was wolf rather than this villager was just villaging
I just thought there was a chance you would see it as it was meant

that I'm trying to do good reads for village. You can't know that, but I'll flip and them maybe some of my theories can be taken more seriously. It'll be egg on my face maybe but I'm really interested to see who the wolves are.

The point was to say, listen, I'm not Monday morning quarterbacking on this read of Allie as village
I'm putting the stake in the sand at a time that the only way I could say so was a read, or being a wolf
Saying after the fact, "I knew it!" as a villager doesn't even give you the credit for having called it beforehand

I did not. The only drugs I've done this game by my own intent was the LSD that I used to track Pippy.

Tbf, it was a long post and took time to think how I was going to word things and type it out. When I started typing it, your question to dubz was the most recent reply to the thread; I didn’t see your prompt until after I’d posted. So take that for what you will I guess.

I’m not dumb, I know I’ve been mid-to-high on everyone’s sketch list since D2. So I’ll explain my actions when asked and if you still find it sketchy there’s not much I can do about that.

Yep yep yep. I honestly like why you're lynching me. I like the idea that in the future people won't lynch villager me for grammar or something.

I do like to gloat. And I'm glad that though my death is certain, we're discussing theories and other players.

Ugh but I don't want to reread things on the thread...

So he was hit by two separate actions that night that nobody fessed up to?

Saying after the fact, "I knew it!" as a villager doesn't even give you the credit for having called it beforehand

It was very unusual choice of language if you meant it the way you're trying to claim you meant it. Most people would say:

"I'm telling you guys, she's going to flip villager!" or

"Bet you anything she's village!" or

"I'm just positive she's going to come up village!" or

... you get the idea. But you didn't. You said something like "Ahahahahahahahaha! I told you she was village"!

That's an AFTER THE FACT kind of affirmative statement. That's not a "putting a stake in the ground now" kind of statement.

If you meant it that way, fine. So be it. But it was an *incredibly* poor choice of words on your part if that's what you meant. If you say something in a really bizarre way, it's not on everyone else for misinterpreting you - it's on you for communicating poorly.

You can gripe about me lynching you for "grammar" all you want, but the fact is: we have to judge each other by what we say in thread. That's literally all we get. So yes, how you say something matters.

I think the point that you're missing is that you were very clear about it having been a confirmed event. Do you really not see why that is sketchy?

You should not have to say "I told you so" at any point because your reads should already be on the thread. People can look back at your interactions and comments and know that you were correct, because there is a trail of written evidence that they can see for themselves.

Edit: ninja'd by LIS, I should just use a computer

Who else is on your sketch list besides maybe Crayola
Lawper, because oddly quiet.

LIS and WM about equally because the LSD is the only drug that’s been claimed twice.

Having a hard time reading Snowy and Dubz but I don’t necessarily think they’re sketchy right now.

The rest all lean village or don’t throw up any major red flags.
