I took my exam Monday (04/05) I walked out feeling horrible. I was a 4.0 student and studied HARD all of APPE's. I thought all my questions were hard! SO much HIV and ONCO!!! I am checking NABP website every 5 minutes and am freaking out. Does anyone have any advice? I think people who said the...
1) learn about the job market and what your future salary will be (60k-80k in 5 years is my estimate)
2) assess your final debt to income ratio
3) don’t go to a school with under an 85% Naplex pass rate (Pharmacy School NAPLEX Pass Rates (2009-Present) - ClinCalc.com)
I’m not going to beat a...
Hello,
I wanted to see if anyone knew any detailed information regarding changing a primary license. The info on this topic is so limited. I've asked friends, no one really knows the answers to many of these questions.
- What is the process of doing so? Can it be done?
- Does the 90 day rule...

I took the NAPLEX in 2016 and passed with triple digits on first attempt. I was an average, middle-of-the-class student who graduated with just around a 3.0 and lacking motivation to study. I took about a month after graduating to study about 15-20hrs a week and have since tutored students in...
Hi all,
Does anyone have both the 2018 and 2019 versions of the RXPrep book? I'm strongly considering using the 2018 version to study for my NAPLEX this year unless there are huge differences.
Hi all,
I’m currently completing a PGY-1 residency out of state but decided I would like to return to my home state of California after finishing in July. (Went to pharmacy school in another, different state).
Do I have to be licensed for a year in order to license transfer? I missed the...
I want to apply for residency programs in New York, but as you know they require a third exam (in addition to MPJE and NAPLEX), that is compounding. That exam can only be taken in June and January (weirdly). I graduate end of june, and should be licensed by September 1 in New York. In order to...
Is it true that to apply for pharmacy state licensure by examination (NAPLEX/MPJE), you need a specific state identity card and not only american passport proof in order to give you an authorization to test? If that's the case how do out of state, or even out of country people apply? I know...
If I get my official transcripts with degree proof by July 1 2019 (that's when my school can provide them), apply to a certain state board of pharmacy to get the ATT then do the NAPLEX exam, will I be able to be licensed on time for residency in the state? Usually residencies start end June or...
Urgent question here! I am applying to PGY1 residency programs in the US, however I do not live in the US. I live in Lebanon and did my pharmD there. I am American hence applying to the programs that start in July. The problem is that my school of pharmacy graduation is on July 19 unlike the US...
hi- looking to rent your access for online rx prep for 30 days. Once 30 days is up, you can change password and resell to someone who may need it after. Looking for fair price since I only need 4 weeks and already bought but my access is up (did not pass first attempt so wasn't planning on...
Hi guys,
SD helped me a lot when it came to studying advice prior to taking my NAPLEX exam. I thought I'd pay it forward and offer some studying advice based on my own experience.
A little about me: I was an aggressively average student with a 3.1 gpa from a reputable pharmacy program. My...
Hello,
I have been studying from the RxPrep book and working on the quiz bank online. My average quizzes scores range from 50's to 80's. ( Overall average mid 60's with calculations, ID, and diabetes being on the upper range).
In terms of generic-brand names, do you think you need to know...
Hello All! Hope your doing well. So I found out a couple days ago that I failed my naplex:( anyhow I spoke to BOP and they told me that I should submit my retake application in the mail and wait for them to give my ATT, and then I can sign up on NABP. When I asked her how long will it take, she...
Hello SDNers
I have been using SDN for the longest time since pre-pharmacy (7 years ago) I wanted to give advice to anyone that will be taking the NAPLEX.
Honestly, everyone says this and I AM going to say this again, you cannot be as prepared no matter how much you studied. I used RXprep...
Hey guys, I’m graduating in 2019…along with 14,000+ PharmDs and I’m trying to graduate before them by precisely 4-5 months. Most schools finish their APPE rotations and graduate in May/June. I scheduled my APPE rotations so that I finish in January 2019. No brainer here, I’m looking to take my...
I thought I would share my experience since lurking on these posts have helped immensely. So, I took the exam on 7/24/18 and found out I passed 7/27/18. I am in a state that does not do online scores through NABP, but the early indicator is true. The early indicator is if you put yourself as...
I found these posts really helpful when studying for the NAPLEX so I thought I'd share my experience:

RxPrep 2018 book
RxPrep test bank
RxPrep video lectures
tldr pharmacy (antibiotics, HIV, etc.)
Minimalist Pharmacist blog

Anyone know how long it takes for test results to be updated on Continental website? Took the NAPLEX on Friday.
Also do they only update the results once a day?
Question bank expires August 7th, 2018.
I thought these questions were amazing practice for the actual NAPLEX - definitely helped me pass with a great score and I didn't feel stressed during the exam which was the best part :)
Price is $100 but I'm willing to negotiate! I just don't want the...
Selling a copy of the "The Ultimate Texas MPJE Review Guide 2018" and "RxPrep 2018". In excellent condition with minimal markings in the RxPrep book and no markings in the MPJE book. PM for more details
hi everyone,
I’ve been studying nonstop for my boards, and I can’t help but feel discouraged. I feel like there is so much that I dont know, and I’m not ready to be a resident. I did very well in school and on rotations, but somehow it’s different when you now have to re-memorize everything in...
Anyone in the bay area interested in studying for the boards in a group? I'm thinking at UCSF and a few other places for variety. I've already passed the NAPLEX, but need to retake the CPJE after failing the first time.
Does anybody know how long it usually takes for the MI state board to process your pharmacist application and verify your eligibility to sit for the boards?
I submitted my application a long time ago, yet it still says "eligibility requested" on the NABP website. According to the MI health...
Hey guys! I am going into my third year in the pharmacy program and would like to find others to start a weekly casual study session to prepare for the NAPLEX. I am super nervous about it and would like to start prepping if anyone wants to join me! Please let me know and we could exchange...
So I’m starting rotations soon and I want to prepare / brush up on my knowledge. What’s the most recommended way of going about this? I also want to use the next 12 months to study for the NAPLEX. Obviously the last 2-3 months before the exam is where I will study more intensely, however I don’t...
just curious if anyone taken naplex on or after April 2nd ? and if they got their results already? I taken it and positive I failed. I just want to get feed back if the register for naplex box is grayed or not in your account and if the status is ATT generated or closed. Thank you
I was told by someone that I can register for naplex on the NABP website after april 2nd when the system upgrades.
Wanted to know if its beneficial to apply ahead of time before graduation or if doing so would allow me to get my ATT quicker to sit for the exam. I'm in florida so it usually...
Hi everyone,
I turned to SDN numerous times while preparing for my NAPLEX and I haven't seen too many posts about a 2018 experience so I thought I'd share mine.
First I'd like to say that anybody who tells you that this is a minimum competency exam either took it long before they actually...
Hi guys, I just wanted to share my experience with the NAPLEX in 2018.
I passed using only free resources. Here are my thoughts.
Overall impressions of the exam, very comprehensive. You literally have to have a very broad knowledge base. When it comes to specific topics, nothing stood out...
I saw a question asking me to calculate flow rate to deliver a certain number of calories/day. The TPN solution was listed as 1.2kcal/mL +40g AA/L.
My question is, does the 1.2kcal/mL include the calories from the amino acids? Or do I have to add in those 160kcal (an additional 0.16kcal/mL)...
Hi sorry to post this but my work is hounding me:
I took naplex 1/9 (CA) and still no letter. Anyone got theirs yet? My mailman also have been fkng up and putting my stuff in the wrong mailbox so idk if its lost so I email the board but of course they take forever ahhh.
