Yeh, I'm in Arkansas - only a few states away - and I didn't get anything either

So far it seems like for every acceptance cycle, at least a few people post to say they got in. Although I think it's around spring break time for some college students so maybe they aren't around their mail?

Argh! I want to know! How is it practically mid-March and I've barely heard back from half the places I've interviewed at? (admittedly, I started interviewing late and I'm still not done yet).

Also, this thread needs more life in general, especially now that I'm done with the Columbia thread. I'm starting to read the threads for schools I didn't even apply to now!

I need more hobbies.

So I guess there's still hope. Nothing in the mail for me today either, here in Southern CT. But according to the USPS estimate I'm only three mailing days away.

No one's gotten anything yet? Really? That's surprising. Isn't this supposed to be the big batch?

Yup, it's the big batch. Maybe they had just finished making the decisions Monday, and didn't get all the letters compiled and sent out till Tuesday or Wednesday?

I'm pretty sure people have called and confirmed that the letters were sent on Monday. =/ Still. I maintain that someone should have posted in here by now if letters were received today and yesterday. Maybe the mail was picked up really late...?

Someone on MD apps claims to have been accepted to Emory on 3/5? http://www.mdapplicants.com/viewprofile.php?id=16495 Weird. Maybe they clicked wrong?

Also, I was nosing around MD apps and the majority of the current Emory acceptances have multiple acceptances (not that MD apps is actually that reflective of the actual pool of people... but it's all I've got). I think my current allowed bit of optimism is that I'm getting wait listed but that there will be lots of wait list movement!

Thanks for actually responding! I didn't think you would. Either I'm spending too much time on these boards or the people here actually aren't as bad as I used to think they were, back before I applied.

Ok, so in theory, DC and where I am are the same postal time distance away, but a decent geographical distance away, so I'm giving myself till tomorrow before I lose hope.

it looks like there are a couple profiles on mdapps showing people getting acceptance letters two days ago..one says they got a phone call on 3/5 too

Yeah I think it's over for me, nothing again today in the mail. I called yesterday and the secretary again confirmed that all acceptances were sent out on Monday. She also said that only acceptances were sent and that people who were waitlisted and rejected will hear of their status within the next 2 weeks. I wonder why they didn't send acceptances and waitlists out at the same time?

I really wish more people would post their acceptances...I'm guessing it's the spring break thing. Emory's waitlist/rejection hurts me way more than the other schools...I think I'm giving myself a student doctor/medical school break until May!

It's just how they do it (and yeah, it kinda sucks). Last year Wait Lists went out on the 19th of March, which I think was around a week after acceptances. Just checked your MD App. Good luck with the rest of the process! I hope Emory at least Wait Lists you. I'm hoping for lots of wait list movement this year.

Good luck to you too! If we're both lucky enough to get Emory wait lists, from the looks of MDApps, there will be a lot of wait list movement this year...I think it bodes well for all of the wait-listers!

Nothing again. After seeing people getting theirs in the mail on Wednesday, I guess it's time to to see if I'll be waitlisted. Oh well.

my opinion is that emory had accepted her but forgot to send or lost her letter when they were supposed to mail them on feb 24
they called her march 5 and mailed it that day as well. in which case she received it on march 12

i hope that sounds farfetched
cause all the other stuff being thrown out is farfetched as well

Ive read only 1 person getting accepted for the listed march 10 mail out day deadline, and that person was lalala19. But im just going to ignore her.

So that means no one has been accepted from march 10 then! Hooray! Hope!

Honestly though, I feel like not getting anything Monday is a great time to panic about not being accepted.



And, the pink sheet we got on interview day entitled "admissions calendar for Md programs" states that those placed on the alternate group will be notified in mid march by email. it also says that in mid march a notice will be sent to those not selected for an interview, which I interpret as the rejection letter for those not interviewed.


Does anyone have concrete evidence that Emory rarely rejects applicants post interview?

From reading that thread it looks like being waitlisted means you've pretty much been rejected with only 9-30 people being accepted off of it. I still got hopes though...

I'm very confused... i haven't gotten an acceptance in the mail and i thought they were already all sent out last monday. I'm 3 states away, there's no reason it shouldn't have made it here by now. And how am I lazy?

Maybe it got lost in the mail.....it could be worth a call to Emory to check for yourself.

Sorry to bring the bearer of bad news, but I also received an email as early as last monday telling me that they were missing some info from my financial aid application (I had already sent them FAFSA and everything). I called them up to see if it implied that I'd gotten in, and they said no, that it's an auto-email and they just want to make sure everyone's financial aid file is complete whether they've gotten in or not.

Anyways, no news here either. This was officially the most anticlimactic "big acceptance mailing" the world has ever seen.

I got that email and have not been accepted. I also get the weekly reminders that they are still missing some of my information (Hi, Dad!).
