Did any UCLA students get the SIR option on their URSA page? I heard in the past that this happened to UCLA students who got accepted. AAAHHH, I'm so nervous I can't even check my status page.

I interviewed in the first week of april(4/3) and havent recieved a letter sent email. Has anyone that interviewed in late March-April recieved any status change?
What is better, hold or wait list? Thanks.
I interviewed last day of March and had my letter sent 5-8. It's probably a hold (rejection!) though considering my interviewer said "I don't think UCLA undergrads should go to UCLA med school". 🙄
well if they are staggering their decisions then maybe the trend will continue....acceptances sent first followed by WLs/holds
i interviewed 2/19. no status change for me. I called the office and they told me that my app is still with the committee and that I should hear in a week or so.

I had this same question earlier on the thread. Waitlist is better. Hold = Rejection unless everyone on the waitlist gets in... then they start accepting people on hold.
MoonUnitZappa,
I interviewed in late February as well. I hope they're not giving us the silent rejection treatment. :-(
The mail just arrived and I had no letter from UCLA, but then again my status didn't change on 5/8/09. I think silent treatment is better at this point than a hold/rejection.
I still have no acceptances and this is my 2nd time applying. I am waitlisted at UCSD and I don't think I'll get in off the waitlist there. If UCLA doesn't come through, I'll be applying for the 3rd time.

YESSSS they're not staggering decisions for this month!! I still have not seen my status change, so this is good news 🙂
how can you say that based on one person saying they were waitlisted?
I received initial hold decision today - letter date and letter sent date on status page said 5/8, but letter was postmarked 5/12. I live in San Diego, interviewed early March.
let me add myself to the list.... hold here as well. This was my worst interview can't say I didn't see it coming.
Gluck to all those still in the game 🙂
Well, on the upside Ian (I know some of y'all have doubted his info, but I like him!) says they expect "a lot" of waitlist movement.

that's what ian told me too. yea, he's the guy with the english accent. i hadn't received my letter and i live in la so i dropped by, worried that it was lost or something. he told me my status, and said there was hope, since there's a lot of movement on the waitlist.
i asked him how many they take ffrom the list, he said 20-40%.
i am not optimistic, but gl to everyone
I went to the office today, and one of the staff members told me that people should start recieving acceptances off of the WL between June 1st and 30th... after that, one's chances of getting off of the WL as "slimmer"...
Good luck everyone!
