I right-clicked on the box and changed the value to "checked," or something like that.

I had the same question as iduwanna.
what courses are considered "200 level" courses?
How are you guys sending in your letters? AMCAS has received mine, but my status on UIC's page says they are waiting on my LORs. Does UIC just go to AMCAS to download them or do I need to send them to UIC through AMCAS?
the uic website says we can check status through the aamc website... have any of you figured out how to do this??
thanks
I would just call and let us know on here just in case someone else might have the exact same question.Anyone who is applying or has applied know how lenient they are with their LOR requirement? I only have 2 science profs LOR from my undergrad. I also have two MD letters from the place I work, one of them being the ER medical director. Do you think they would waive that third undergrad LOR? I know I should probably just call, wanted to know if anyone had any helpful info. Thanks.👍
So I am confused with the LOR thru AMCAS. So I got an email from AMCAS saying I needed to designate which schools I want my letters sent. I thought it was going to automatically do this based on what a poster said earelier in this thread.
I went in and designated the two schools I applied to that used the AMCAS service. I then hit submit application again. Was I supposed to do this?
Yeah, it sounds like you did it correctly. Log back in and doublecheck that the letters are still assigned to the schools... if you did it correctly then they should be.
Yeah, I think I did it right. I just wish I had known htis earlier. I thought the schools just automatically downloaded them from AMCAS. Stupid assumption of mine. I just misread what a poster wrote earlier I think. BAH. I guess I'm still kind of early, just not as early as planned. I sent my app in after 4th of July weekend.
That sucks, sorry. But the good news is that they download the info from AMCAS pretty fast so you should be complete in a couple days.
Hey guys,
Quick dumb question. I got the email from UIC and it says:
"Please refer to the following web-page http://www.uic.edu/depts/mcam/supplemental for an on-line Supplemental Application"
I go there and all I see is a PDF file and DOC file I can download. Are they not paperless? The wording of the email makes me think that they are paperless. Thanks!
i submitted 8/1/2008.. have they already started interviews?? i already have my LORs in so hopefully soon soon soon i will find something good out? does anyone know how long it takes after submission to get reviewed?
hm they said on the status page my letters of rec haven't been received but they are on AMCAS. i read earlier that this happened to someone but im still kind of confused about the whole thing. should i call ? and when can you call again ?
I have heard from numerous sources that UIC tends to be extremely slow. I was listed as complete on 7/18, and my status page says I am "in process". Does anyone know what this means? Or when they start giving out interviews?
Does anyone know how many students are at the Chicago campus vs non-Chicago campuses? Also, does anyone know how assignment works for the campuses?
Thanks.

If I'm employed as a researcher at the university (meaning that I'm on the payroll, fill out a tax form and all that) do I count it as a staff position on the app? My gut says no, but I'm not sure.
so no interview invites yet from UIC it seems..
I dropped by the Admissions Office yesterday. They told me they just started reviewing completed applications. Yikes! 😱

Are you supposed to wait for an acceptance before completing the UMed application or is it a good idea to submit it as early as possible (i.e. the same time as the secondary)?
Can anyone please explain the behavioral/social science pre reqs to me? What do they mean 2 of the 3 course must be in the same field? Meaning same department/subject? I currently have one course in sociology, one in psych, and one in humanities. Is that sufficient? Thanks in advance!
Has anyone had any change on their status page lately? I submitted secondary + letters via AMCAS on 8/6 and they still have not received either.
Its just as you said, two of the three have to come from the same department/subject. So you'd have to have taken two psychology courses or two sociology courses to meet their prerequisite. You still got time to squeeze another psychology/sociology course into your schedule, right?
I already graduated but I guess if it comes to it, I will take a course at a community college. I do however have two courses from econ. Does that count as social sciences for them?
Any one has an answer to this because I was wondering the same thing about econ? What about philosophy?
I will call in on Thursday to speak with a counselor. Hopefully we will get an answer then.
I know we've already established that UIC isn't exactly quick when it comes to updating things. Still, I've been holding my breath. The check status page was updated today, and they still haven't downloaded my letters from AMCAS. The letters arrived at AMCAS over a week ago. This is very frustrating.
Anyone out there who did get their LORs updated on the status check page today? If so, when did AMCAS receive your letters?
