What code did you guys use for UVM on the FAFSA?
they told us during the financial aid presentation that the school comes up as univ of vermont school of agriculture or something like that.
they said not to worry, that was the old name of the school and medical admissions will receive your file regardless
Does anyone know the average step 1 score for UVM? I'm just wondering how the VIC affects their board scores...

Dunno about numbers, but http://www.med.uvm.edu/admissions/TB20+BL.asp?SiteAreaID=597 says they're consistently "at or above" national averages.
Honestly I would expect usually above... though it's probably harder for profs to teach the VIC, I bet it's a lot easier for students to retain all the knowledge.
Addi and the Vermont thread have been awfully quiet lately!!
Ummm, I know. Where did everyone go??? This thread being so freaking bumpin' was like half the reason I applied to this school. I'm just kidding. But seriously, where is everyone? Is no one else having nightmares about the OAC?
We should hear back by March 24th.

I got waitlisted as well.
Fingers crossed really tight now!
What gives here? I only know of one person coming off the OOS waitlist (Keek) and one person being accepted outright (shnuffles) since January. Otherwise, it seems that everyone else has been waitlisted. When exactly are they planning on filling the class????? 😕
Are people being rejected? Or is EVERYBODY put on the OOS Waitlist?
I like to imagine you all having the same experience as me over the last 24 hours. It goes something like this:
You: I just got waitlisted at UVM
Your friend/mom/significant other: Oh! That's... awe...some? awful?
And then you both stare at each other for a few seconds trying to figure out from the other's facial expression if it's good news or bad news.
There have been a bunch of PRE-interview rejections, but--with the caveat that my only info comes from this thread--it seems that post-interview rejections are fairly rare. They do happen, though: I know I've read about one or two here.
Of course, it could be that a larger number of interviewees are rejected than we think, but haven't posted here. It's pretty understandable: people are much more eager to report positive news than negative news.
That's hilarious. I've seriously had exactly that same conservation several times now! 🙂
