Dont worry FML, its prolly not gonna hurt your chances because people who review the application will hopefully not hear about this. Hey, even if they do, they might think you love Einstein so much that couldn't wait. When things are already done, you should always try to look at the bright side of them.🙂

haha thanks for the words of encouragement guys 🙂

just tellin my story so you guys def don't submit early

now I'm not sure whether I should call them monday or wait for them to call me (if they even bother)

I wouldnt call them...i think at this point just leave it be and see where it goes. If you call all you will get is a rude response probably anyways.

I just got an email reply from them today saying that their entire application will be done electronically this year. The email is slightly confusing, and so it MAY mean something else, but it likely looks as if it's all electronic now. Yay! 🙂

hey guys sorry if this has been asked, but is the secondary already out??? if it is, i want to get started on it! please let me know...thanks and good luck everyone!

Not yet. They are making some changes so we should wait. Hopefully its an easy secondary with nothing too extreme.

No one can tell you with out litearlly looking at your entire amcas primary application. On paper a 3.4 and a 29 mcat isnt going to help and it would seem its going to be hard to get in this cycle as your gpa is far below average and your mcat is slightly below average. That being said there are hundreds each year like you who are accepted. Dont listen to much to what random pre meds who do not know your situation. GPA and MCAT wise things dont look good...but you may have other things going for you such as upward trends, adversity you have had to overcome, URM status, ECs, good essays, or an overall interesting story and path you have had in your life. You never know who will get in and wont, so if you are interested in aecom go for it. Its not like they dont accept people with 29 mcats.

Thanks man. Yeah I'm kinda bummed numbers wise but I'm going to go ahead and finish all my applications. Maybe add 2 or 3 extra schools tops. Thx for the sound advice!

Haven't gotten it yet. So they do require a letter from majors faculty?

Downstate did too, but they were lenient when I asked them.

No essays unless you have to explain anything. Exact same questions as ones I found in last year's SDN thread. Done! 🙂 Good luck everyone!

yay i got this one too! not that i feel special in any way 😛

so this whole picture thing is delaying everything! i want to go to costco to get a passport like pic and then scan it for all schools, but i think they are closed tomorrow! the secondary pictures must say a 1000 words 😉

I bet they just pick the hottest guys and girls with reasonably good stats for the incoming class, based on the pictures.

Time to photoshop mine. 🙁

is there a max for the number of individual LOR's?!

lol i wonder if people actually do that though...probably would make for an awkward interview 😛

did anyone else read their LOR policy. I'm a little confused. It seems like they want you to send additional LOR's even if your school is sending a committee letter? No?

for the LOR's it says they want additional ones but when they ask for if you want to add more there is only three spaces, should I add the next 3 I like but still send them 4 additional letters?!!

bahh i have so many yes answers! more essays for me yayyyy 🙁

so if we answer yes for this first one, is the second one also yes even though its not "after just having graduated"?
I have taken off at least a year since college graduation
I plan to take off this year, after just having graduated, while I apply to medical school

and for this one, i already graduated and took 2 quarters of ochem with lab (it was the faster route) but i've listed that im going back and taking another ochem+lab next year as post bacc! should this answer be a yes?
I have not completed the pre-medical requirements

last question: i did take about 3 classes at a CC while I was at my main university and also during summer, is this another yes?
I have transferred from one college to another during my undergraduate years
thanks =)

Submitted!

I have basically all "no" answers. Was done in 5 minutes. $120 is a bit too pricey though.

So I'm a grad student and I'm submitting a letter from my advisor--but then why should I have to also submit one from my undergrad registrar saying I was in good academic standing? Shouldn't my primary and transcripts show that? Why the extra trouble?

And don't get me started about the $120 application fee. There's just no excuse.

lol, for a second I thought you were going to talk about einstein's general relativity or something.

Other schools, such as JHU, do similar things as that.

can we merge with einstein thread?

I just looked through the secondary and didn't see this... where do they ask for this letter?

Is it only for people applying as graduate students?

Yeah, only for grad students. If you're still undergrad they only ask for your committee letter. I'm also doing a committee letter from undergrad so the whole application is a little weird.

Nevermind! I figured it out 🙂 Sorry to waste space...

anyone?!

..

I'm just going to call about my question.

Do all the yes/no questions have 50 word limits??
It seems so, I have to fill out like 6 of them and thats been the case thus far...this one is a pain in the ass..-_-

Yes. I answered my questions in haiku. 😀

Kidding of course but it does force you to measure your words, which could be lesson number one from Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

I didn't see a upload photo option until after I submitted...a problem with my browser? Is there some way I can upload it now?!

hooray submitted! Einstein is one of my top choices for sure!!🙂
