Just wanted to reaffirm this post as I had my interview yesterday. Never have I seen a school so highly value students' happiness. They said their two goals as an institution were to provide their students with an excellent medical education and the highest quality of life. They backed it up too with an amazing gym facility that was built on campus because the administration wanted their students to use it, be happy, and be healthy. They are also very considerate of significant others and encourage them to come to second-looks and M1 events to feel like they are a part of the school as well.
In other words, I have never see so many happy students and a staff so dedicated to making their students' lives so much better. Other thing that comes close to paralleling this is the fact that their facilities are top notch and the main medical school building is only 10 years old and is fantastic.
Interview day at Loyola moved it from "strong consideration" to "a top choice". Also, for those of you wondering, the dean of admissions told us only 5 people were rejected post interview last year and everyone else was waitlisted or accepted. Get that interview and just be yourself!
