Hmm, for most schools the letters are required for your application to be considered "complete." Are you sure that the score is based upon the application being complete, or is it just completing the secondary (i.e. paying the fee, answering the questions)?

If it's based upon being complete I'd be screwed, as our committee doesn't send letters til late July.

I'm nearly in the same boat as you. My committee letter won't be complete until next week and possibly sent until the week after... Is there a difference in submitting the secondary without the LOR vs. with the LOR? My secondary would be on hold until it is complete, but is the submission date looked at separately from completion?

Okay, seriously. I am verified and everything (and have been since the beginning of June), but still haven't gotten MCW's secondary, and there's nothing in my spam folder. Am I just being paranoid here?

I'm still there with ya. I can't figure it out, either. I assume some of the people who've gotten are OOS, I'm not near the end (or beginning) of the alphabet, so that's not an excuse, and I'm verified. 😕

i was on the waitlist for the 2013 class for awhile and they offered me deferred acceptance if i dont get in this year which i'll most likely be accepting. so yes they do that, i had no clue. good luck to the rest of u in here who im sure will all be accepted somewhere ull love.

The prompt asks us to list convictions other than speeding tickets, so if I got a ticket for not coming to a complete stop before making a right turn at a red light, do I have to list that? I mean does the idea of "speeding ticket" extend to all minor traffic violations or just speeding tickets?

I'd email them. I had a similar traffic violation and I emailed them about to clear it up. They said it was not necessary to list it, but being upfront and honest is the best way to go.

I got a ticket for improper start, which I went to court over. I listed it, just because it was easier to have full disclosure than trying to nitpick about it.

The same thing happened to me last year, Evel! Congrats. For me, taking the acceptance was way more humane than trying to go through the whole application process (and a few thousand more bucks) again. And the year off is great. You can make a little spending money, take vacations, and hit the ground running and refreshed. It's a pretty good deal.

Is anyone experiencing a server error when they try to pay with credit card? I keep getting this error and I've tried on three types of browsers, IE, firefox, and google chrome. Hope I'm not being charged 3 times. It does say payment not received so I guess I should be fine about the being charged multiple times. But I can't submit my application for some reason.

Anyone applying to their mstp program? I have a letter packet, and all of my letter writers knew I am applying only to mstp programs. Do you think this is okay, or do you think that I need SEPARATE letters for the mstp and md programs? how silly.

I wouldn't call them. Give it a week or two. The secondary is super easy once you get it, so your turn around time will be quick.

The committee has completed its review of your application. It has been favorably reviewed and moved to a smaller pool of applicants who potentially will be invited to interview with us. That pool is still much larger than our interview schedule can accommodate. So, candidates are selected to receive an invitation by strength of credentials and completion date of application. If and when we get to your application in this process we will be happy to email you an invitation. Any further review of your application will occur only if you are interviewed.

Judging from past year's comments, this should be seen as a good thing when it is received this early. Posters last year said that receiving it in late August generally meant an interview, so receiving it early in July should be pretty good news.

Ugh. They have everything but I need to wait until they get my grad school advisor letter. School doesn't start UNTIL August!

Think they'll accept an e-mail asking them to remove that letter for now even though their policy says recently accepted grad students must include one? 🙁

Yeah. Just emailed her and told her the situation. Said I needed a letter acknowledging my application to med school and my status in the program. She said she would be more than happy to write one on my behalf. I was really surprised, because I haven't even seen her in person yet. Actually, I haven't even moved across the country yet.

As for your issue, I'd e-mail MCW. They're pretty responsive and I'm sure they'll tell you how to update your status.

Thanks! I actually just went ahead and called, and they were suuuper helpful. They just updated my application over the phone, and when I checked online later, it was up. But now I have to wait for AMCAS to process the letter, so my application is incomplete again 🙁 Back to the bottom of the pile for me...
