I'm considering sending in an update on my recent activities. Does anyone remember the specific format they requested on nterview day?
I think it was a 1-page max pdf, sent to [email protected], but I want to be sure before I send anything.

So I pulled this directly from the "after interview" email (i assume by your wording that you already interviewed):

"You have the opportunity to include any new and significant information relevant to your application (eg, publication, experience, award, etc) within the next 7 days. Please email it to [email protected]. Please do not send additional letters of recommendation and/or letters of intent."

Sooo...unless you're within 7 days of your interview, not sure if they will accept it.

A few people from that group have heard back already. I'm in the same group but nothing yet for me. I think they are a little behind schedule because of the holidays.

anybody who's interviewed here remember what they said about the 1 page update in terms of expressing interest? my notes say "1 pg, pdf, , dont make it an loi." basically i just have a short paragraph at the end (a couple sentences) about how i enjoyed the interview and the program (it was amazing!) and want to be sure i'm not breaking some "update only" policy that my poor note taking skills aren't telling me!

you can call but nothing is going to really happen. They will probably tell you that as soon as a status change occurs you will be notified. As with casillas, I interviewed in sept and did not hear back until january. So you just may be in for a long wait.

I got the waitlist email too. Funny thing was that I already got a waitlist email a couple months ago. Guess they just wanted to rub it in.

not a whole lot do. at the interview day they gave me the impression it was doom and very few come off. The class size is so small i guess its to be expected.

they dont accept any updates until post interview. Then they only accept post interview updates like 1 week after the interview then no more.

Not necessarily...

I interviewed in September, got waitlisted in October, then got accepted off the waitlist in December. Don't give up!

I don't remember getting special instructions regarding thank-you notes, but definitely received info about sending in updates. Basically, they don't want additional LOI's or recommendation letters, but you can send in "new and significant" application updates within 7 days post interview.

I shot my student interviewer a thank you email (she was awesome), but did not send anything to the faculty interviewer (didn't get his contact info). I did not send in any updates. I got accepted, but not sure how much the thank you helped. I don't think they would deduct cool points if your thank you isn't in a proper format; mine was pretty informal, but cordial. Good Luck!

Same here. Interviewed in October. Called the office today. They said sometimes the sytem holds some applicants back randomly. I am scared because now especially because the portal is saying I logged last time in November 2009; I have been logging in almost twice daily. i am hoping that a computer glitch does not destroy my chances here.

I wouldnt worry too much. I was in the same situation and worried that it was bad news. Interviewed in september and I just heard back this month in January. I called and was told the same thing till I was finally accepted. I was never waitlisted or anything. Just silence from sept-jan

Hi everyone, I was wondering what people's thoughts were about multiple acceptance. Do you guys recommend submitting intend of matriculation forms to multiple schools? I am not sure yet where I want to attend, but I am leaning towards one more than the other. However this can change. Thanks.

with many schools they say you have something like 2 weeks to accept the offer. If you dont accept in their time frame you lose your acceptance. So your policy should be that if you even plan to attend the school at all submit an intent to matriculate form. Its not binding. All you have to do is make sure by may 15th that you carry only one acceptance.

haha, our date was told specifically not to email pdfs for thank you's, but yes to email them to the same address as updates.

I don't know why they expect everyone has the full Adobe PDF. I know some websites convert it for you but I had to go find a library computer on campus to do it.

Are you talking about writing a document and saving it as a PDF?
