FWIW, I just sent a msg asking about my status, approaching 8 weeks, etc. There is a messaging system we can use via the online applicant center system.

I got nothing to lose in this process; my cycle is going well, so maybe I am little more emboldened to "rattle the cage" at some of these schools.

If I hear back anything, I will post it here.

Time for UVM to poop or get off the pot...

The latest: so I got the "complete" msg today and have another 8 weeks to look forward to? I thought I was complete there a long time ago, and assumed the "4 to 6" week msg I had for 8 weeks was the evaluation phase, but if I literally read the msg I got today, they haven't even started making a decision on my file...

What's up with this school?

Me neither! What is this Monday rumor? where did it come from? I thought they had committee meetings on Friday?

I'm dying. Slowly but surely. DY-eeing to know one way or anohter.

For those of us interviewed last week, they said we'd know "sometime this week" whether we are accepted or not, which could mean anytime from now (monday) through friday afternoon. Obviously, this means I'm checking my email/status page every 15 minutes.

We will be contacting you shortly regarding the status of your application." That actually doesn't sound too promising... maybe I'm reading too much into it. Oh well, it's in God's hands

I'm pretty sure they're unofficial before then. And they haven't posted any actual decisions yet.

So, I see that nobody (within past several pages of posts) has been rejected. Does everybody just get placed on the "small pool" status, or what?

I'm there, and not feeling too optimistic about it. Waiting on that first interview invite......

That's the one I got recently, and I don't think it is a good one...I have given up on this school, which is silly because it is still September, but I haven't gotten a warm fuzzy from this place...

That's the one I got recently, and I don't think it is a good one...I have given up on this school, which is silly because it is still September, but I haven't gotten a warm fuzzy from this place...

This is not the "small pool" msg, it is the "cess pool" msg...

There are only two messages, that one is the "complete" message, the other is the "reviewed/hold" message. Everyone gets the complete message, so it's neither good nor bad. Just about everyone gets the reviewed/hold message as well, except I think the very few who get rejected or interviewed immediately following their review.

same, and it's still there! i was complete 9/8/09 and haven't heard anything. someone i know (with vt state status) got an interview invite and he was complete about two weeks after me...

do they have a systematic process that invited in-state residents first? otherwise this school is a silent rejection for me. so bummed.

I was complete like 6 weeks before I got an invite. They do interview until like March you know

thanks for the reassurance. i guess im scared now because im second guessing myself on my applications, when i submitted, when i was complete etc etc. this whole application process if very mentally destabilizing for me

Yep. In my opinion, the "we will contact you shortly" time period has passed.

I haven't interviewed here yet, but I'm fairly certain they legally can't tell you anything until October 15th. So I'd just take a deep breath and/or sleep for 2.5 weeks. 😉

I have had the "small pool" message for three weeks now. I REALLY would love an interivew, but I guess having a 3.8/3.7 and 29P aren't quite good enough! Has anyone else had to wait an extremely long time to get an invite while being in the small pool???

I dont know when i was small pooled, just when I was complete which is on my mdapps
