Yay for acceptances. 🙂
Accepted! OOS (Rocky Mountain region), interviewed mid-September.
I literally ran from the mailbox to my house to rip open the envelope and screamed when I read it. I still haven't calmed down enough to read the rest of the packet.
I'm so glad that I don't have to worry about getting in the rest of the cycle. I might not hear from my state school til March, and this definitely takes the stress out of that.
Rejected. 🙁 🙁 🙁
I just don't get it.
Good luck to everybody else though!!!
Mom called and I got in. First she felt the need to tell me that it was about yea thick and cost them 60 cents (How is there not a cents symbol on my computer?????) to send. I was like... "thanks for the incredible detail, Mom. How about you just open it?" 🙂
ACCEPTED. after freaking out that no letter had arrived yet seeing as i live 2 minutes from the med school, my dad called to say it had arrived to my home in nova. sooo incredibly excited, probably going to attend here.. looks like that uva 2010 will be changing to 2014! good luck everyone still waiting!!
ACCEPTED! I guess this means 4 more years at the U for me- Wahoowa!
*Jasmine I noticed we both got rejected from VCU beforehand which was making me really nervous, but it doesn't matter cuz UVA is way awesomer!
congrats to all those who got in!
i've been sitting on a complete file since july 16 and have heard nooothing. IS, 33S, 3.46 undergrad (@ UVA), 4.0 master's biology (@ VCU).
should i call or just sit tight (ugh)??? this wait is killing me
how do you add your mdapps to your profile on sdn?
For those who have had completed files/interviews..how quickly does UVa go from receiving the application to marking it as complete to offering interviews?
..and is there a status check?
If you go to your profile, there's a slot to put in your MDApps #
No status check. I submitted my application one day, and I think I got a complete e-mail two days later. I had to e-mail the admissions office, though, because I wasn't sure if I had saved and submitted payment, or if I had actually submitted, and it wouldn't let me back in to the application to check. I was in the first batch of secondaries, and got an interview about a month after I was complete. My interview was a little over a month after that. Hope that helps.
Accepted.
I'm pretty stoked. UVA is not only a very good school, but Charlottesville might be the happiest place to spend four years.
I'm not sure how many schools can offer that total package.
They told during interviews today that they'll meet tomorrow morning and have our decisions mailed out in the afternoon. Insane turnaround.
So I was accepted and I'm looking at the conditions of acceptance and I'm a bit perplexed. What is #7?? We have to "provide proof of current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification." I don't have this certification since I never took such a course... so does that mean I can't go here?
i think you do it before you start school bro, isnt it basically a CPR + etc cert?
Are decisions mailed to your home / permanent address?
How'd you find this out, you called? They sent out last week interviewees letters yesterday. There was a delay so they weren't sent out on Friday.
How'd you find this out, you called?
Could people post links to where they went for their online BLS certification?

Can't you just go through the Red Cross for CPR and AED certification?
Accepted. The envelope was mailed to my local address, not my permanent one. Good luck to everyone else!

I live in South Carolina, around 400 miles from UVa.Do you live near UVA/ Do you live in Virginia?
