VCU Time. Just curious, did anybody get the hold status yesterday?
 
Yes VCU time, its 215 now so only 4 hours left. I got my Hold Status about 2 weeks ago and interviewed about 2 weeks before that.... I cant stand this.

I was wondering about that myself. Has anyone ever got accepted without ever getting a hold status from VCU?
 
so i managed to sleep in for half a day today! i dreamt of pretty much everything by forcing myself not to wake up, in one i got int, one i didnt, the other one i went on vacation, pretty much everything in my mind 😛 now i just gotta occupy myself for the next 2.5 hrs..
are you guys also checking your statuses or just waiting for the email?! good luck all :luck::xf::xf:

I would assume that the email the "there has been an update to...." email. I would still check the page after 610 if I had not gotten an email because my guess is only as good as yours.

Good luck to everyone nervously waiting by their email like I am. I hope for good news for all of us and to see yall next year!

yeah, I have the same question. I'm sitting here on priority score #2 attempting to wait patiently haha
 
I have no idea, but this waiting is killing me!
 
i wish there was a place to look where it said, "the december 15th updates have been made i.e. you were not accepted yet." then at least we would know. haha
 
next time im checking sdn first before email and status page! i cant take another day of :scared::scared:
 
you guys think its tomorrow? i suspected this since the website had the last date as oct 15 and it was the 16th but the status page had it right so i thought today would be the day!! ahh maybe they are working an extra hour today? who knows..
 
I'm just waiting for them to send an e-mail saying "GOTCHA!!! it's actually tomorrow!!!"

at least then we'd know.....

yup! now gotta have another unproductive day of nervousness!

after today's empty feeling i dont know if i my hopes are up or down now 😏

Offers

Offers for admission are made on or before October 1 for the Early Decision Plan and October 16, December 15, February 1 and March 15 to fill the class for regular admissions. At the time the class is filled, an alternate list of applicants is compiled from which replacements are drawn for any vacancies which may occur in the selected class by the first day of orientation. Since selections are made in advance of actual attendance, all acceptances are made on condition of satisfactory completion of courses planned or in progress. It is expected that candidates will maintain acceptable standards of deportment. Students offered acceptance into a class are expected to respond within two weeks of the offer.


So... I am gonna try and get away from the comp. and study for finals a bit more, then check back around 8 or so.

One more for no update... you would think the law of averages would have at least one of us posting here having been accepted. I think the only question now is are they still working tonight or will it be tomorrow?
 
Too bad it's posted so late or I am sure there would be a barrage of phone calls to the admissions office right now...

i think that is the whole point of waiting till the last minute for these updates! this seems like waiting for mcat results all over again :scared:

Do I hear a volunteer? I would except I'm sure shes probably getting quite a few tonight and I don't want to be annoying spam #52.
 
really? not a single person heard anything? i find this hard to believe...
 
at least none of us heard anything... obviously unfortunate still though! we can all just pretend it's monday again.
 
I actually called earlier today to inquire and they said they were having computer problems so none of the committee decisions would be uploaded until tomorrow. So take a deep breath and wait another day 🙂 (easier said than done, naturally)

I know that any response to this is probably just going to be speculation, but do you guys think that they'll be announcing at 6:05 pm tomorrow (as opposed to possibly earlier cuz of the whole technical difficulty thing t'day)?

I was thinking the same thing. I'm kind of hoping that it is still 6:05. I work a normal 9-5 job, and rather not get my acceptance in that environment. Not that I'd turn it down, but I'd rather find out after getting home from work. As far as what will happen, I have no idea. If forced to bet, I'd say 6:05 because of the habit of the system.
 
Just had to post this... How crazy is this situation? Yesterday, I never thought that I could not be accepted today, and still be happy about the outcome. Just goes to show that you never know, nor can you plan, for sure, for tomorrow. I thought I had thought about the 2 possibilities that would occur today and was ready for both of them. And now this. It's a good lesson for the future, especially as a doctor. Be ready for anything! Sorry for the rambling, but just felt like sharing.
