CONGRATULATIONS StoneKing!!! so happy for you, that is so exciting. i hope i hear some good news soon.
My first acceptance!! Goodluck to you all and I can't wait to meet my classmates!
btw, are you IS or OOS?
For those of you accepted today, would you mind posting your stats (GPA, MCAT, IS versus OOS, gender, race, age, anything else you think is relevant)?
For someone with stats pretty well above the average of last year's entering class, as well as some excellent ECs, I'm just wondering exactly how quickly VCU is approaching its previous averages. I think we all understand that it varies, but the MSAR figures have been relatively consistent for the past few years.
Thank you.
BTW, If you were a competitive applicant, congratulations on your acceptance.
Hi all,
Just got accepted today. OOS 3.85/31. And I have a dilemma I was hoping some people could offer feedback....
I've been accepted to my state school, which as far as in-state schools go it is QUITE expensive with very little financial aid offered through the school. Although it the other school ranks superior to VCU in almost every category, I had a great visit and really like the Richmond area/east coast in general.
Does anyone have any advice in making a final decision, the cost difference will only be about $8000 per year total. Thanks for your help and best of luck to those still waiting to hear.

Congrats to all who got accepted! I must admit that my hopes and good feelings towards this school are quickly getting shattered.

hang in there dadocca, its only the beginning
hey guys...are there any campus housing for this med school? i think i remember the answer is no...but just to be sure. cuz i'm out of state and not sure where to live if any in-states could help out too, that'd be great!
I'm 98% sure that Cabaniss Hall has housing available for graduate students. It is very close to where we will be having our lectures, but I don't think there are many medical students at all who choose to live there. This is probably because Cabaniss also houses undergrads.
Hi all, was accepted off the waitlist yesterday! I was also accepted off my instate school's waitlist (Louisville) a few days ago however, and they're offering to cover a third of my tuition...I really like VCU and have a lot of reasons I'd like to be in Virginia (I went to college there), but it might come down to money. What are people's thoughts on this, if you don't mind answering? Is it worth it to go out of state, or do you think the experience is generally the same?
After so much waiting and no acceptances, getting two within two days is amazingly hard to comprehend. Best of luck to those still waiting, I'm pulling for you! And for any OOSers still waiting, I'm probably going to drop my spot at VCU I really wanted it, but it's so hard to turn down having less debt..my boyfriend will understand I hope I'm halfway around the world at the moment though so internet/decision making is hard to do here, but I'll try to do it really soon because I know how waiting feels..
Sorry but thats wrong. Cabaniss hall is primarily for undergraduate transfer students and late first year Monroe applicants who applied for housing late. (That was me my first year)
The MCV low rises are for graduate students.

Hope that helps.
Does anybody when the oos waitlist stops moving?
I can't seem to find this information anywhere. The white coat ceremony is on Aug 13th, but when is the first day of instruction?
If I needed to move into Richmond from California, how soon will I need to be there?
First day is August 9th
im in the same boat wondering about your second question!

Do any of you even know if MS1's usually live on-campus or off-campus? So lost...
