How reponsive is Dr. WC when you email her? Is it actually her who reads the email? or does like a administrator or assistant?

Just don't send her the email asking your chances before the 16th, because she will tell you to wait.

Yay now that the weekend before judgement week is here, I can get back into my neurotic vcu sdn mode. A little over 100 hours to go!!... one way or another, whether I get in now or don't, I think I'm going to really miss doing this.

I know, right? You would think early invites would mean early acceptances. I was invited for the first day of interviews at UVA and rejected promptly. So it is quite a crapshoot. I had a late November interview here and got in less than a month later. Whatevs.

VCU is all about priority score and thats set in stone at this point for everyone, so no matter when you interviewed i think its just a matter of where you stand among the rest of the applicants and thats true if anyone is waitlisted too.. good luck all, dont read so much into it just try to take your mind off it (i know its easier said than done but do it!!)

Talk about a depressing day. I have been thinking that today, Monday, is the day we find out... woke up today and realized its the 15th, not the 16th, and now know I have to wait one more day to find out.... Oh well, whats another 24 hours when you have been waiting since October. Best of luck to everyone!

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that status says that their next correspondence will be accept, reject, or waitlist. So I think that all three are in play.

I don't really know for sure, but after looking at last year's thread, it looks like most people were rejected prior to March 16th if they were going to be rejected without a waitlist spot, and people who were not accepted on March 16th didn't see a status change right away because the committee hadn't yet made the waitlist. I read somewhere that most likely you'd be placed on the waitlist if there was any real chance you'd be able to get a spot with your priority score. People were accepted off the waitlist all the way up to the last week before classes started.

Soo I suppose it means that (at least according to what happened last year) any news tomorrow will most likely be good news. And no news right away is probably a waitlist spot (unless when they make it a week or two later, they decide it's too long for you to have a chance with your score). Of course, it's possible that there were rejections handed out March 16th last year, but those people weren't posting to SDN...

Does anybody know what time they'll be updating the status site? It seems like last year it was right after 6pm EST. If this is true, I'll try not to stress out tomorrow morning because I'll be waiting all day haha.. I don't think my body/mind can handle much more of that!

I'm hoping for an acceptance tomorrow but fully expecting to be waitlisted. Yeah VCU has plenty of waitlist movement even in the later stages since they never over-accept, but I would expect most movement after June to be in the OOS list.

It's true, she is. She confirmed it in an email to the students several weeks ago. She's training her replacement for the Step 1 board prep program. We're all very sad to see her go. 🙁

I would think that if they were going to reject you, they would have done so already.

The way I have read it, it seems like everyone/most not rejected gets on the waitlist after the last round of acceptances.
