25%-40% Looks like you can't figure it all out by yourself
I am sorry man, the numbers do not seem credible. Each year, over 5700 people applied and only about 750 people (numbers from the VCU website) were offered interview. Assuming that they have already accepted about 180 applicants and about 170 people were either rejected or decided to withdraw post-interview, pre-decision, So that left about 400 people on the waitlist. Each year, they will accept about 400 people (true for 2007 and 2008 entrance classes) that means there are still about 220 acceptances to be given out. 220/400 is slightly more than 50%. Anyone want to verify my calculations?
