Hi ab2989, I didn't get a secondary either. I found out that they stopped taking Canadians this year. Don't know if this applies to you. Good luck!![]()
haha mann i think the "Describe yourself" prompt is the hardest one! What did you guys start it with?

My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum... it's breathtaking- I highly suggest you try it.

If I was 100% sure it would never come back to bite me, I'd totally apply to this school just so I can write that.auto accept

I have an AMCAS fee waiver but at the end of my supplemental its still asking me to pay the $105. Anyone know why that could be?
Send them an email with a copy of your FAP confirmation. They will let you bypass it.
I e-mailed the office a while ago about this and they said even though the website said "no" for ready for review my ap was still complete and "in line to be reviewed"
Bump. Anyone else experience something like this?Still not complete. Submitted sometime around end of July. They have everything they need, etc.
Quick question: I got an email from someone named Kathy Griffin (from AMC) today saying that I only have 5 credits of orgo and asking if I'm planning on completing that requirement by the end of Spring 2011. Anyone else get an email of that sort? And if so, does it bear any relevance (ie. they're interested in interviewing you or it's just a mass email for those who haven't finished prereqs, etc)? A quick glance through last year's thread didn't reveal anything, so if anyone knows about this, that'd be great!
Edit:
Ah, this makes a bit more sense. I've had everything in for a few weeks now, according to the website. It was just that the application complete part still said no. Thanks for letting us know. Hmm, with this bit of info and getting that email about orgo earlier today, I hope that means good news! 🙂

Kaushik, sorry I can't be of much help. It may be a good sign in that if they weren't interested, they wouldn't really care whether or not you were going to finish the requirement. On the other hand, there may be someone in the admission office whose job it is just to check through people's requirements (and has no bearing on handing out decisions). 😕
On another note, I submitted 14 days ago now, and my letters are still not posted, though everything else is there. My letters have been with AMCAS since June and all the other schools have them. Do you think its worth contacting them?
My status was finally marked with my LORs and secondary app and all "received" a week or so back. When I took a look at the status page again yesterday & today...everything went back to "pending" & "no". My LORs also disappeared.
Does this mean they're reviewing my completed app? Did anyone have this happen to them?
Just got an email from Albany saying they received my certified application....random, considering I was marked complete a while ago.
Same here. You and I lead the pack in weird crap happening with our applications. Haha.
Or they are just THAT behind....
FINALLY complete. submitted 8/5
Submitted before that, but still not complete. Ah, the randomness 😛.
