Interview Invite!
Dear _____:
Congratulations!
We just couldn't wait to tell you that you have been accepted for
admission to the Albany Medical College.
A letter of acceptance, which describes the conditions upon which
this offer is made is being sent via surface mail and should arrive
within a week to ten days.
We hope you are as pleased to receive this good news, as we are to
send it.
Please help!
I received Secondary invite weeks ago but declined to submit because I was out of money. Will it be too late to submit it now???
It doesn't look like it from posting history... I thought schools couldn't send out acceptances until 10/15 unless it's edp.EDP?
And CONGRATS! 👍

Didn't apply EDP, as far as I can tell Albany doesn't offer EDP or early assurance. I interviewed 9/16. On my interview day we were all told that AMC doesn't usually announce any acceptances until mid-November (MSAR says 11/1). I was also under the impression that regular acceptances can't be announced until 10/15 as mandated by AAMC? I don't know what to make of this!! It is from the same email address as the other admissions correspondence, and has the correct contact information for the Director of Admissions. I emailed, but will follow up with a phone call on Monday. What do you guys think?
still waiting for AMC to receive LOR...6 weeks and counting =[

Are you saying they still haven't downloaded your LORs from AMCAS even though they've been there?
If this is the case, just call them! They can update the site for you, although you still won't be complete until you get through the long line that you are already waiting in. But it will make you feel better maybe. They do estimate 10 days so you have reason to check in.
I just noticed that the Albany status page has changed to:
"Although letters may be available to us for download from AMCAS, due to volume it may take up to 30 days to reflect receipt of letters on the status screen."
I'm a few days over 30 days now, so I'm hoping they are able to download them soon!
when did you get the complete email 2050?
Hi all!
So I just scheduled my interview on the morning slot for 10/21 eeek .. I read through old posts, and it looks like general feedback for interviews is positive, which makes me a little less nervous.
For those of you have interviewed, was there any prep you did or would recommend? I'm planning to go over my AMCAS activities and being able to describe/explain them. SDN Interview Feedback mentioned a lot of ethical questions before .. is that still the case? Or pointed questions about weak spots in your application?
If anyone post-interview has any feedback, it'd be super appreciated. I tend to always get panicky and given this is my first one, its like 100x worse... thanks! 🙂
Does anyone know how or when Albany does acceptance or rejection notification? Maybe starting tomorrow?
So I got the certified/complete email on 9/1. Still haven't heard anything, though it sounds like people done way after me have... ugh is this a bad sign?

About how long does it take from being complete to hearing something from them? I have been complete since 8/27 and have not heard anything. Are they really behind? I know they dont do the silent rejection thing and said they will notify you when the screen is over. Heres to more waiting I guess.... Anyone have a rough idea of the timeframe?😴
So no one has been accepted here since that poster on 10/1? I was under the impression that you hear back pretty quickly.
According to what they told us after my interview last week .. they committee meets the Tuesday after to review all the candidates that were interviewed Wed/Thurs before .. so in that respect, you are reviewed relatively quickly. However, in terms of actual decisions coming out, they said we should expect to hear something (I interviewed 10/21) mid-November. I don't know if that's the absolute earliest, but that's the sense I got from them .. which is why it was really weird that someone already found out they were admitted
