Interviewed on Oct. 7th. Everyone else said they felt like the interviews went really well. They have a really laid back straight forward, positive approach. Kinda suck though because if everyone feels like they did well, it is kinda hard to know where you stand. Anyone know the interview:acceptance stats?

I believe, based off last year that about 570 were interviewed and about 276 accepted.

Gosh I wonder what would make the adcom put someone on the alternate or waitlist if they chose to interview you early. My biggest fear!
 
You have to factor in the people who either aren't able to get medically qualified or withdraw post-interview into those stats though. If you do that, the odds are much more in our favor

I second this. I was at the oct. 7th interview day as well, and nobody seemed worried at all. Of course we all know there's more to it than the vibes we get from the interviewers, which kind of comforts me. I heard many people talk about the laid back and straight-forward approach, and one interview was true to that form, but I must say I was thrown a few curveballs in the other that I completely didn't see coming. Great interviewers though. Great interviewees too! It was nice to meet you all! Special thanks to Alex and Merritt!!

Well I don't think that they would put you on the waitlist because that is typically for people that would be in the "accept" pile except their service is full. Alt list they could though if they thought you would benefit from more preparation or something. (or at least that is my understanding from going through the whole application process two years ago)

I agree. They are not going to accept everyone from the interview even though everyone "felt good about it". If you look at the stats - 1 in 2 interviewed is accepted. But whether that means 1 in 2 from every interview, or, personally, i think more ppl are accept from the earlier interviews rather than later ones. so it goes from mayb 85% and drops down significantly. Then, you also have ppl arent that committed to the military, ppl who got another offer, ppl who aren't "normal" (if you interviewed, you know what I'm referring to 😛)

I am eager to find out too, but there is no point to worry about something you have no control over. You have done your best, so breath now, and be patient.

Also, I agree everyone on the oct 7th interview rocked. nice folks. would love to see all of you next august!

I've heard the whole point of the interviews is to make sure you're not a complete psycho. My interviewer, a lady in the navy, said that to me personally and referenced the muslim guy that shot up fort hood who went to USUHS. I read on last years blog that ppl find out this week on Friday. Is that true?

Did she refer to him as "the Muslim guy," or his name?
 
I'm getting really impatient waiting for October 16th! Though I doubt I'll hear anything on exactly October 16th I'm not that lucky. For those of us who interviewed on Sept 16th how much later than Oct 16th could it be until we hear something??
 
In two days it will have been 3 weeks since I sent them an e-mail to check if they recieved all my LORs. I saw it took some people two weeks to hear back, but that appeared to be the longest anyone waited. The nervousness is really starting to get. Should I call? Or just go ahead and wait till Friday to call or something? Send another e-mail? I'm scared something may have gotten lost in the mail or something like someone else said happened to them.

you really shouldnt worry about it. know that everyone else is behind you 🙂 (in terms of interview date)

btw, I am tryign to get a head count of how many people were in each interview group. Mine was Oct 7th, and I still have the interview assignment sheet, and there are 56 entries, each person's name appeared twice, so 28 people in total. Anyone else has that sheet?

There was about 25 people who interviewed on the 30th. I hope that by some random chance I'll get a call this Saturday... but I doubt it

You're not guaranteed to hear something at that time, but according to last years thread and (I think) what I remember from my interview date that's the earliest they let you know.

Based on last years SDN discussions, people got called on Saturday and Sunday. Good Luck everyone:xf:

Hahaha I genuinely hope you guys get the call today, tomorrow, or monday. All the above posts are saying weekend, but who honestly knows. Golden advice: pretty much duct tape that phone to your hand today and don't take it off until Monday. 😛
 
If any one you guys gets a call, please let us know. I haven't heard anything today.

ditto. i am pretty much counting out a call for me today (who knows though, it is only 1600), but i really want to know if anyone else got a call.

The USUHS Security Office should be sending you the form by email. If you want to get a head start or to look at what questions that are asked, it's the SF-86, which can be found here:

Keep in mind you cannot save inputted data on this form.

I have not received a security clearance form sheet which is why I ask.

Congrats guys! I haven't gotten a call yet and I was trying to convince myself that maybe they weren't making any today but I guess that won't work now... Who called you guys if I may ask?

Actually, you will be asked to print out a copy and to bring this hard copy to your interview. You will provide the copy during the morning check-in to the nice office staff, who will hand it off to the security office.

ACCEPTED! Dunno if I'm going to be going here but getting the acceptance was certainly good news! Interviewed 9/23.
