So I've been complete since late October. Is it too early to call and check on my status? Seems like they're not a fan of updates/letters of interest, or at least that's the gist I'm getting from this thread.

I've been complete since august and haven't heard anything either. I never received a complete email (someone asked about this a few posts back), just saw that all of the items on the status page checked off.

I would love to here!!! Please invite me Keck!! 🙂

Hey I don't think you get a confirmation email. I received an interview invite without getting a confirmation. Good luck!
 
Accepted!!! Got the letter tonight after work... interviewed 11/2!!!

It was postmarked 11/29 so it looks like they just sent out a new batch of acceptances! So excited!

Hey congrats Bobby! You got the letter so soon after they mailed it, I'm guessing you live in socal?
 
For interview invites, are they sent via email or is there just a status update?
 
Interview invite today! Compelte 8/27, so don't lose hope if you've been waiting a while.

The earliest interview date was 1/11

Hmm, when I scheduled on Wednesday, the earliest date was 1/25. Maybe some opened up?

interviewing at 1/11/11, with someone cancelling for you to have it. Sounds like your lucky day.

Accepted! Just had my mom read me the letter over the phone, hahaha.
 
Got put on the alternate list. I'm pretty disappointed, but I've heard it moves. I guess more waiting now.. 🙁

Send them a letter. The waiting is rough, but the list moves quite a bit.
 
Anyone know if they're almost done giving out invites? It sucks not being able to send them update letters pre-interview... I feel like a sitting duck playing the waiting game 🙁
 
They are still sending them out, a bit at a time. They interview about 550 out of 6300+, so I bet they take their time reviewing each promising app. This time of the year is def crunch time for many schools, so if nothing in the next week, we just have to wait until early January.

Does usc also update your status online if you've been accepted/waitlisted/rejected after interviewing, or only through mail?

I saw no update to the website after I received my acceptance letter in the mail. I checked pretty thoroughly, too. I would hazard a guess that it is only through mail! Hope that helps 🙂
 
How do we know they have received our $100 deposit following acceptance?

I sent my deposit in with a delivery confirmation, but I am gonna call them in just to double check. I figure the only way is to call!

Same exact situation here, got a call while across the country saying there was a large packet from USC, open it or not? accepted, great feeling to be able to stay in CA
 
I got my interview invite on dec 8th and scheduled it for early feb. Does anyone know the chances of getting a straight acceptance that late? Do they fill their class till the last interview date or does USC only interview in spring for waitlist spots? Thanks!

USC interviews late. I was OOS last year and didn't get an invite until early February for a mid-March interview. Was definitely in the last few weeks of things. Moral of the story: if you haven't heard anything it means you're still under review.

You can definitely get an acceptance if you're interviewing in Feb-I got my invite in Dec, interviewed in Feb and was accepted late March (no waitlist).
 
I am so excited! I am not interviewing until 1/18 but I am definitely looking forward to checking out the school and hopefully enjoying the interview day 🙂. Is anyone else coming in on Jan. 18th?
 
Just withdrew my acceptance to go to KCUMB.

Hopefully someone on SDN can snatch it up!

My acceptance letter came in the mail last week while I was out of town! USC is definitely the school for me. I hope I get the chance to meet some of you next year! 🙂

They usually send an email for you to check your status at the applicant portal. This may come around Feb or March...hope for the best tho, gahhh...

Am I the only one put on the alternate list at USC after the interview? And does anyone know my chances of getting off the waitlist?
 
Anyone receive interview invites recently? Been complete for over 5 months should I be giving up on USC..?
 
I think they interview through April-ish, right? So we could potentially still be seeing invites through late February/early March! :xf:
 
To answer the facebook questions: First day of class will likely be around August 8th or so. Keck is not on the main USC schedule.
 
Does USC also send post-interview rejections/holds through regular mail?
