Yes, but look on the bright side. I think I remember the dean saying at the interview that they went almost halfway through their waitlist last year in filling out their class.

30 more days till I interview at UT!!! Excited. 🙂

Good luck! I was originally supposed to interview on that day as well, but they had a spot open up at the last minute last week and I took it. I'll be sending good vibes your way!🙂

And I should add that I've been on 4 interviews, and my interview experience at UT was by far the best experience I've had as far as interviews go.

Has anyone accepted received their financial aid packet yet?

Just as a guideline - I'm not sure exactly when I received my financial aid package last year - but I believe it was sometime in early-mid April.

To get your financial aid package as early as possible, you'll want to make sure you get your FAFSA done as soon as you can.

Hi! Does anyone else have an interview this date and want to share a hotel room?

Also, does anyone know if they take additional letters after one's original submission? I just learned a post doc I work with graduated from Toledo undergrad. Any help I can get, I'll take! But I'm not going to ask for a letter if it will never get read.

Lastly, anyone know any stats on how many people who get interviewed get accepted?

Thanks everyone!

Interviewed 2/14 (Valentine's Day).
Received acceptance decision this morning via e-mail.

Thank you. Good luck to everyone else. Hope you guys get some good news soon.

Just wondering what website/airline did you guys use to book your flight to Toledo? I don't know if I am looking in the right place but the plane ticket for 2 weeks from now comes up to be $800+!!! I certainly cannot afford that.

try looking up flights into detroit (DTW), could be much cheaper. it is under an hour away from UT, so you might need to think about renting a car or looking up a shuttle service. good luck on your interview!

Snail Mail today (no e-mail received) Alternate Listed. Fingers remained cross until the end of May

That seems awesome. One of the current medical students that had lunch with us when I was there told us about that program. It seems like a great idea if you're even a little bit interested in emergency medicine, which I definitely am 🙂

Additional departments in the hospital (internal medicine, for one) are also starting to take scribes - I personally think it's a really great program.

Those of you interested in EM you might also be interested to know that the dept of emergency medicine typically hosts a summer research program (10 weeks, paid, clinically-based, done through the university) during the summer - it's one of the many research options for the summer between 1st and 2nd year. Many students in the past have gotten journal publications through the program.

Interview Thursday! Anything I should be prepared for about the interview???...topics or anything unique? Any last minute advice?

Well, FML.

Interviewed 2/24, and received the alternate waitlist letter a few minutes ago. Blah.

It's always a good idea to check the interview feedback for any school. If you haven't signed up to do the Meet and Greet, I would do so (if you still can) - I think it's an excellent opportunity to meet some of the current students in a low stress, small group environment.

I interviewed on the same day, haven't heard anything yet (just called my brother to check my mail haha)

the interviews were relaxed and pretty conversational. both of my interviewers asked for my thoughts on healthcare reform/the future of healthcare. also, both asked a few ethical questions as well. good luck!

Hey guys,
Is anybody interviewing on 3/31st?.... I am flying out to DTW and wanted to see if anyone is willing to split the cab ride to UT.

are there any shuttles that go from DTW to the UTMC or your hotel? a cab might be a little expensive since DTW is about an hour away. even renting a car could potentially be cheaper (especially if you find someone to share with). good luck on your interview!

Thank you so much. I am looking into car rentals now. I hope it all works out.

One of the M2 students told me to contact Sheri. He does round trip from DTW and back for $65. Let me know if you want his number.

I'll be driving a rental from DTW around 6:30am on 4/14 if anyone is up for splitting the cost of a ride.

Hey, did anyone go to the meet and greet?
What was it like?
also, this may be a stupid question, but should we wear? lol

When I interviewed @ UTCOM I did meet and greet and thought that it was very helpful. Now, as a medical student, when I participate in Meet and Greet (from the other side of things, of course), I find that most interviewees say that it was helpful.

As for attire - it's meant to be a casual event - many people wear jeans/khakis and a nice shirt/sweater.

100% casual (at least for me) it was just three UToledo med students and you can just ask them whatever questions you want. it's about an hour (or until you guys run out of questions) and they show you where you have to meet the next day.

Withdrew my application before attending interview. Good luck to everyone! 🙂

Just got accepted via email a few mins ago after I received the alternate letter last Monday. Sooo happy and shocked! Wasn't expecting it!

hey guys, i have a question about having 2 faculty interviewers. did you guys end up asking both interviewers the same questions about the school and toledo? or did you ask each interviewer different questions?

are there any drawbacks from asking both interviewers the same questions?

thanks everyone!

I asked one question of both of them because i was interested in getting to different perspectives, especially since my interviewers actually did not know each other.

I must say most of my written down questions were answered durring the meet and greet and also during the first presentation.

The 4 to 6 weeks wait is going to kill me!!! I wish I could find out now. 😴

Just got an interview invite!! Im really excited, but I was wondering if I could have a quick run down of interview day schedule. I don't know too much about it at the moment! :luck::xf::luck::luck:
