I forgot to include the site in my email, but I think they just assume the main site if you don't specify otherwise.
I only submitted my three preferred dates.

Debating on whether to attend interview on not. I was recently accepted into two excellent state schools so I'm finding it hard to justify moving out of state due to housing and tuition (46k vs 27k /year) costs.
I'd appreciate if somebody can give me more information about financial aid (how much grant/scholarship does Einstein offer?) and things that really set Einstein apart. I really really want to go but finances are playing a huge role at the moment!
it's not that bad! when i went to my interview in november, a lot of the first year students were stunned at how early we were interviewing and mentioned that most of the people in their class got in with february - march interviews!
A couple questions for current students on housing-
How does housing assign apartments? Do you pick roommates or are you randomly assigned? When does this usually happen?
Which apartments having some living space, the two bedrooms or the three bedrooms?
Do some third and fourth years end up getting studios?
Assignments are random, but I think you could pick a roommate if you knew someone in the class (you can request 2 vs. 3 bedroom though). Also, you can switch apartments after you move in, so if you aren't happy, you can change things. (You can live with people of any class year). Assignments for first years come early in the summer if I remember correctly.
If the pending construction is completed, no apartments will have living rooms anymore. Currently, some three bedroom apartments have living rooms, but they don't conform to current fire code, so they are being consolidated into the adjacent bedroom. However, the kitchens are being enlarged slightly to create a common space.
There is a waiting list for studios, and I believe students get off the waitlist for studios by the fourth year, but not much earlier.
Do you know how/where my wife and I would get placed if we decided to stay in the on-campus housing? I can't imagine they'll make us room with someone else, but a 3-4 year waitlist for studios is pretty extreme (I know, it's not extreme for NYC).

I just received an interview invite for March. Can anyone tell me what the interview process was like and how to prepare for it? It is probably somewhere in the thread but I did not find it in all of these pages.
Is Einstein under the block system? How often are the test? How many tests do you take each time?
You take exams once a month - first year you will usually take two exams at once with study days in between them (you never have two exams scheduled on two consecutive days). You take two courses at once throughout both first and second year.
Second year is the same except some of our exams are staggered even more.
Quite honestly - its as a chill as it can get.
Don't make fun of the question, but do you think it may be too relaxed? I almost had the impression at Tulane (wasn't around enough first and second years at Einstein) that things were so relaxed, in comparison to some other schools, that it may sacrifice step 1 scores. Thoughts?
Just a few more questions.
I told people that Einstein has a true pass/fail grading system, but no one believes me. They said that no one school has a true pass/fail, and that they just tell that to prospective students. I know that this topic has been brought up a couple of times, but can a medical student or someone talk a little more on this. If it is true pass/fail, how do they consider for academic achievements for the AOA?
Also, I am interested in ECHO. I was wondering if anyone know if anyone that is interested can volunteer as many times as they want. What do first and second year usually do in ECHO? The reason I asked is that at another school, first and second year only get a certain amount of days in the clinic.
Does Einstein use iTunesU to capture audio and video with picture? Some schools have just the powerpoint slide with audio but students cannot see what the professors are pointing at. What about the technology? Some schools have virtual microscope or other online resources for students to enhance their skills, and I was wondering how Einstein is.
For the medical spanish class, how often do these classes meet and do they require a large time commitment?
Does Einstein have any longitudinal clinical experience?
Thanks a bunch! I am super excited.Super laid back interview day. You meet at the main office at the start of the day and either take a tour then interview with one faculty member or vice versa. If you feel you don't "click" with your interviewer, they say the best thing to do is report to the admissions office immediately afterwards to ask for another interview (they say they might be able to accommodate that day). My interview was relaxed, mostly discussing my path to medicine, the state of health care today, and some random other subjects all related to my application. Oh - also, my interview was off campus (they provided a shuttle). Getting there and back was super easy, and I hear it's the same for any other sites you may have to interview at. Good luck!
They are sending out more acceptances now! I just got my email. 🙂

I had a question for any one who recieved the Save The Date email a few weeks ago or was accepted today. Is there anyway to reserve your spot or do we have to wait until the 15th? I didn't see any clear way to accept admission decision in the email. Also are we supposed to RSVP to the save the date email? Thanks!
I'm not sure about RSVPing, but they only want us to let them know if we are not interested in attending before January 15th. We can't accept the seat until after.
interview date?
Any one else interview in early Sept and not hear anything yet?

So I received an interview invite from Einstein. The email says "Provide us with dates starting with march 19th." I dont know what that means. Can I pick any date, as long as its after march 19? Can I pick march 20? 21? 22? This doesnt make sense. Surely they cant hold interviews every day? How do I know what days they are holding interviews?
I'm pretty sure that's how that works. My invite said the same thing. I emailed back with several dates that week and they responded to confirm my first choice. Just don't choose a weekend (I think the invite mentions that too).So I received an interview invite from Einstein. The email says "Provide us with dates starting with march 19th."
