Does anyone find it weird that the continuing candidates list letter makes it sound really promising? like it says congratulations three times as if its a good thing

One of my waitlist letters from another school is the same way. Not sure why schools do that. Congratulations, you can wait

CCL today...was definitely going to be surprised at an outright acceptance (late applicant, OOS). Hopefully we get a lot of movement this year!:xf::xf::xf:

Still at interview complete. Anyone from end of March heard back yet?

Declined Dean's Scholarship offer and withdrew - hopefully a lucky SDNer gets it! 👍

I likely will be withdrawing as well...just pending fin aid from one last school. It's so hard to give up a scholarship, but I found out that the Dean's scholarship is re-evaluated every year and not guaranteed past this coming year. On the other hand, I've heard that Temple gives out extra scholarships to students after they matriculate as well.

They do. I've had at least one friend that got one during MS-1.

Also... thought you guys might like to see this.

That is a very inspirational clip. Thanks for sharing! Hopefully I'll be able to live it soon!

Anyone know if OOS students get the 10k tuition break after the first year of being a PA resident?

Nope. To gain PA residency, you have to prove that you came to PA for something other than education (aka if your spouse's job was transferred to PA).

Just withdrew my acceptance. GL for those who are waiting!

What, if anything, do we have to do to verify acceptance other than pay the $100 deposit?

I just received a Dean's Scholarship for 10k. That is extremely generous of them as I wasn't expecting anything. I might have to reconsider my decision not to attend, because unfortunately financing is a very important issue to me.

Anyone else have any other information on this scholarship? A quick Google search yielded nothing.

Same thing happened to me today! Now I'm struggling to make a decision. I hear that its only for the first year, but might be renewable upon reevaluation.

^Yep! That's what I was told - they reevaluate all students for scholarships each year. Maybe one of you got mine, as I was upgraded today! 😀 Hello Temple Class of 2016!

I believe it's renewed once you pass your classes... you're not really 'reevaluated'

Got one as well. Do you know if the scholarship is binding (if you accept you have to go) or is given if you eventually decide to attend. I am on a few wait lists so I am curious.

I asked Maria Demmler and was told that all students are reevaluated for scholarships after the first year. In order for it to be guaranteed once you pass your classes, you need to be given a renewable scholarship (and it will say so in the email).

If you got a scholarship now chances are you'll do well enough to be able to renew it, but it's not a guarantee unless you're awarded a renewable one from the get-go.

Aggghh still at interview complete 🙁. Thought I would hear back by now.

They just want your intentions so that they can re-offer the scholarship to someone else before May 15th if you plan to accept another school's offer. If you are waiting on waitlists then that's fine. 🙂

I'm thinking about withdrawing from Temple as well.. does anyone know how to go about this? Will an email to the admissions office suffice or do we need to write a letter to withdraw?

I believe they have a place on the website that you filled out the secondary on that has a tab entitled "Send Us Stuff" and one of the options you can select when you upload to describe the document is "withdraw letter"

This or a quick email to Maria Demmler also works

decided to go elsewhere... another open spot for someone!! 🙂

I interviewed at Temple on one of the last interview days (early April) and still haven't heard back. My interviewer told me he was going to recommend me for acceptance, so i have been anxiously waiting for almost 6 weeks! I assumed they would get back to me before May 15 but that seems unlikely at this point. Is anyone else in this situation? Just wondering if this means wait list, silent rejection, or that they just forgot about me accidentally. Is it normal not to have heard back yet?

How do I withdraw from Temple? Do I just e-mail them? Thanks guys, I am waitlisted OOS, hope that will help someone out.

Has anyone heard from Temple post May 15th? The waitlist is apparently moving!

Also, are the documents you upload on the "send us stuff" page supposed to show up anywhere?

With you being the first post after May 15th, how do you know the CC list is moving? Do you know something we don't?

From reading the threads from the past two years, movement didn't start until next Friday, with most being in June/July and continuing until orientation. I think it takes them a good week or two to get everything in order.

I haven't seen anything that I've sent in appear anywhere within the app portal.

I find it ridiculous I haven't even been given a decision yet, and I interviewed almost two months ago.

Sorry to hear that. I know you've called a few times with no luck. Have you sent in any updates since you interviewed?

Just got in today off the waitlist!! Keep those fingers crossed!

Congrats! Mind letting us know how you found out? Is this for main campus or St. Luke's?

I just got in off the waitlist today too! I received an email notifying me of the acceptance followed by a second email with a scholarship offer. This definitely makes my decision much harder.....

Can any current students offer any insight on their experiences? Particularly, how does the location of the school affect studying/commuting at night?

TIA

I actually emailed them to find out if there was any update and they responded that I had been accepted and that the letter was in the mail. So I guess that I was supposed to find out via mail, but that I jumped the gun, so found out through email

Congrats, everyone. I just gave up my spot and my scholarship, so hopefully it went to one of you. 🙂

Congrats! Did your online status change by any chance?
