Has anyone called to confirm that they're on track to send out acceptances today? (I know 2/20 has always been on the schedule but they've missed the last two dates.)

Has anyone outright asked if they missed two rounds? It seems very odd that a process that has been on-time, transparent and engaging would miss waves like this. It is possible, although none of us want to believe it, that those accepted are not SDNers, or maybe they chose VERY FEW...

When I called and spoke with Erin (I believe) I was told the committee was behind but that notifications were coming, albeit not on the actual day. This does not sound like skipped rounds to me. Regardless, today is a scheduled release so let's hope for some good news! :xf:

Confirmed by admission this morning: yes, acceptances will go out today, there will also be a round on March 2nd as previously anticipated.

Erin could not confirm whether this would be a larger batch than usual.

Good luck everyone. Will be joining your ranks in a couple of years and I'm making myself nauseous just reading about the waiting. Go take a run, come back, refresh, kickbox class, come back, refresh, scream into a pillow, repeat as necessary.
 
So is today's acceptances done then? Or do they do a gradual release throughout the day?
 
I wonder how many they sent out today... Whether it was the normal 10-12 or if they sent out a ton to make up for the dates they missed. Ugh..

I am wondering the same thing too...I also wonder if they could possibly be holding off and sending out the majority on 3/2 when they do rejection, wait listing and accepting

Both of the people saying they received acceptances today had more recent interviews.. so it would make sense that they treated today as a normal round and are sending a larger amount on 3/2. (At least, so I'm hoping.. haha)

I hear ya... at this point, I'm resigned to try again in two years or so under the assumption that 3/2 will turn out as fruitless D:

In my interview someone actually asked them how many people they had accepted. I remember one of the ladies said it was 95-98 people. That was back in the first week of Feb
 
My understanding is that they accept more people in April than in any other month based on the fact that people who have been extended offers have until April 15ish to respond back. After then, the dig into the wait list and start accepting more people.

I'm definitely bummed I haven't heard back yet (interviewed 1/9), but I'm still not giving up on things until later into April.

I completely agree and still have hope for April.

I called the admissions office and spoke with Jeff Rhoads last week. He said that the university did release acceptances on 1/30 and 2/6.

Im pretty sure other people have said that the admissions office confirmed that there were not any acceptances sent out those days. Soo confusing!
 
I was accepted today at 17:05 AZ time via the video e-mail. OOS interviewed in 01/09.

It still doesn't seem real. My top choice and I will be attending here!! SO EXCITED. 🙂

The financial aid office had sent an email to all those accepted and it had been sent to 95 students at that time. I don't know the updated number sorry.

When I called last week, I was also told around 90-100 students have received acceptances.
 
When I asked if acceptance offers had been made for 1/30 I was told, "acceptance offers will be sent out later this week or early next week." I interpreted this to mean that they had not sent out that round yet. I Still read it that way... Not that it really matters.

Congratulations to all those who were accepted and good luck to those still waiting 🙂
 
I sure hope we get the news today. Even if I get on the waitlist and get to keep waiting at least I'll know SOMETHING. :xf:
