Anyone that interviewed in Jan or before still waiting to hear back? Is it usually a rejection after two months? 🙁
 
Does anyone who interviewed on 3/9/12 remember when they said we should be hearing back?

For all those that are waiting, there's still a good chance. There was quite some movement in the april-may months last year!
 
I wonder if that will be the case this year, hope so but ... I called the office last week; ~130 applicants have accepted the offer....that's plenty more than their class size. And since quite a while ago the waitlist held ~50-100 applicants. Are these numbers similar to last year or did they change to buffer against the last-minute waitlist movement? Unrelated---my first time calling and they were very nice 😳

From my knowledge of late movement last year, the numbers this year seem to have a little bit more for applicants that have accepted (can't say for sure though). However, word is they are probably having a slightly bigger class this year than this past year as well.

I'm sure there is a bit of buffering in there as you said, but just hope for the best because there is a quite a few applicant switches.

Since the last interview day was yesterday, I'm sure they slotted a few spots for yesterday's session as well.
 
when i interviewed last month, they said they had the potential to accept everyone in the interview group at once
 
Congrats to everyone who got accepted!!, I interviewed on 2/3 and just passed a 10 week waiting period. It is indicated on the SOM website that applicants are notified within 30-45 days post interview. Since I have not heard anything, is that a bad sign????? UCD is my top choice, and I am hoping to hear good news!!! :xf:

Ouch! I've been waiting since 3/9 and I thought that was bad. I'm wondering the same thing.

Ouch indeed! :laugh: I hope we both hear good news, and the sooner the better 🤣

BTW, I'm a bit confused.. I saw a post on this thread that mentioned that there are already about 130 students that accepted their admittance, and about 50 already on waitlist... but I thought the admissions mentioned on interview day that they waitlist students only after May 15th... did I not remember correctly?
 
Idk, the website says they will make their decisions (accept, waitlist, rejection) 30-40 days after interview. I also thought they said at the interview that we would know between 2-4 weeks after interview. So confused 🙁

Just from our point of view - interviewed on March 2nd and was waitlisted two weeks later. Have not heard anything back since. Our waitlist email arrived at something like 10pm at night and there was a copy in the applicant portal.

Other than that - supposedly May 15th is when applicants can only hold one offer, so spots should open up after this day. Unfortunately, we all just have to wait from the looks of it 🙁

I got an email from UCD this afternoon with only the following message:

Dear Applicant,

[email protected]

Anyone else get one? Any idea what it means?
 
was there a subject?

that's strange.. UC davis has been known to have some bugs... but hrm...what's ur guys statuses (waitlisted, accepted, etc)

According to the website we are supposed to be notified of the decision, to include waitlist decisions, 30-45 days following the interview. Am I so assume, in spite of what the site says, that since I haven't been notified of any decision I'm on the waitlist.
 
Dropped myself from the Davis waitlist today. I know that is not as exciting as dropping an acceptance. 🙂 Hope it contributes happiness to someone's day.

:luck:Good Luck to those waiting!! Davis is pretty fantastic and it was difficult to drop the option. (Super excited to be a Wildcat in August.)

Do you know if you were in the last interviewing group? If so, that could explain why those of us who interviewed in March still haven't heard anything. Maybe they are rounding up the last of us before they make decisions :xf:

interviewed almost 2 months ago, isn't the adcom meeting every 2 weeks? you would think they would make some decisions
 
I just called the office and apparently no decisions have been made for those with March interviews. Maybe they're coming soon :xf:
 
That probably means no decisions have been made for the April interview either, right? I suspect they are reviewing the applicants chronologically.
 
I interviewed on 1/20 and still haven't heard anything. Anybody else in same boat? I called admissions regarding my status a month ago and they told me there's been no decision made yet. Wonder why there taking forever???!!!

well some people who interviewed in feb already received acceptance calls
 
call from Dr. Sousa today!!! ahh so excited! I hope the rest of you hear good news soon too!
