Any recent reapplicant or normal applicant interview invites?
 
Thankful that the weekend is nearly over. Never been so excited to see Monday... :xf:
 
hey all

just called admissions and those of us who interviewed 11/21 are going up at the next committee meeting (wednesday?), so we'll prob hear end of this week or next week
 
Anyone else on have the 30Nov decision date? Looks like last round of offers people heard on Tuesday. Kinda bummed there's no actual call. This is potentially my first offer. I feel it could be anti-climactic...

Did they push back the decision date? I interviewed 11/23, and they told us we would be decided on 11/30 and notified of the decision this week. On the other hand, based on the rest of this thread, it looks like Wake often takes a bit longer with decisions than they plan (still faster than many other schools, though).
 
Just sent them an update letter
For those of us waiting for an interview, I talked to them about the spots and she said there are about 2000 in interview pool for 550 interview spots!

do they meet every Wed or every other?? idk why I had that in my head but that would be a lot longer of a wait than I would liiiiike

haha np, and yeah i hope we don't have to wait until next wednesday for them to meet again

No idea what to do now? Can anyone tell me what to write in an interest letter? I already wrote one before my interview so I could get an interview...i have no idea what else to add. Since I work I dont have/wont have any updates. Loved the school when i visited

I haven't heard anything either, and I think we interviewed on the same day. It seems like the people who are hearing back today interviewed earlier, so I wouldn't worry about it. 👍

Lol, thanks. I definitely injected more melodrama into my post than I was actually feeling. Knowing Wake, I might not be surprised if our decisions are delayed for a few days. I just really liked it and am very anxious to hear back!

I was waitlisted as well, but it sounds like we still have a decent chance of getting in so :xf:

I really liked it too, everyone was so friendly and I liked the way the class schedule was set up with the clinical exposure right from the start. Good luck with everything!

To the people who received interview invites for WF: Did you also receive interview invites for UNC? My WF secondary was completed 11/28. My UNC secondary was completed 11/7 and I received an invite.

what are my chances of getting an interview? 31M/3.5gpa, bio/chem major w/ research, work experience (pharmaceuticals), lots of shadowing, bio lab teaching, science tutoring, emergency department volunteering. what do you think my chances are if the interview goes well?

UNC is much faster for II, especially if you're a first time applicant. Be patient, i completed my wake secondary a month before my UNC one and interviewed at UNC two weeks before the WFU invite.
 
Have most people who interviewed been hearing back the week that Wake Forest indicated? They told us our date (11/30) would go before the committee tomorrow, and we should hear back within a week of that. I'm really excited, but don't want to get my hopes too high if they have been late for most folks.

So far they are late for my date; I was supposed to hear last week. Definitely don't spend next week on your toes.
 
Just got an interview invite! I know it's late in the season but I am still excited. My date is 1/31!
 
i don't think it's that late, and late is better than never! congrats 🙂 i'm still waiting for mine.. hopefully. when were you complete?

Congrats! I don't think you're that late at all. If you ace your interviews, you'll have a great shot.
 
Anyone confident they will likely attend Wake yet? I'm 95% sure I'll be there next year.
 
Those of you that sent an update letter/letter of interest, did you email it? Also, did you receive any confirmation that they received it?
 
i emailed mine to the medadmit address and got confirmation of receipt. of course, it hasn't done much for me yet =\
 
Waitlisted today. Pretty bummed because I felt as though my interviews went great. Anyone been accepted off the waitlist yet?
 
Anyone who sent in an interest letter or an update to their file how long did it take to receive conformation???
 
I just withdrew my application (my interview was scheduled for mid Jan)...hopefully this opens up a spot for one of you.

You should get a confirmation, it will just take awhile, especially with the holidays. It took them two weeks or so to send me a receipt and update my status on the page, and that was back in November. If it's been over a month or so, though, I'd call them just to be sure.
 
For people who have interviewed, at what hotel did you stay? I see that some people have stayed at the the Hawthorne Inn. Is this hotel in walking distance of the interview site?
