Has anyone who interviewed on Feb 8th or later heard any news? I thought we'd hear by March 15th, but I haven't heard anything yet...

Has anyone that interviewed February 21st heard anything?

Does anybody know when they send out the emails for the high priority wait list?

Nothing so far. I interviewed Feb. 18th. This is the last school I've interviewed at that I haven't heard back from yet. Fingers crossed!

I'm pretty sure we should be hearing this week about February interviews. The committee seems to meet once a month, and decisions are sent out in the late teens-early 20s.

I'm pretty sure the last committee meeting is today. That's what I wrote down during my late feb interview. So we should be hearing back really soon!

Waitlisted just now. Interviewed 2/18.

Does anyone know if Rochester splits up their waitlists into high/low priority? It didn't say in the email, and I am just trying to assess my chances....

Me too. Interviewed 2/18. I am really bitter about this because 1) I really liked Rochester and 2) This is for now the last school to get back to me, and I have 6 waitlists and one rejection. A couple of schools have said nothing, but at this point they're probably not going to.

$@#^@$%^#$%$%$#^

Just wanted to let you guys know that I gave up my acceptance recently, and hope it goes to someone here who really wants to go to Rochester! It was a really tough decision to let it go, its a great school! Good Luck to those still waiting! 🙂

Waitlisted as well today. Interviewed late february.I thought my interviews went super well so I'm a bit surprised and dissapointed 🙁

Sorry to hear about the waitlists you all but hang in there. There's still hope! It looks like only waitlist decisions went out today? No acceptances?

Rejected MSTP and offered a spot on the waitlist for MD only that I'm not going to take. Good luck everyone.

Has anyone spoken to fin aid about increasing your COA? Will COA cover the cost to relocate?

Travel expenses/moving expenses
Don't we get financial aid after the semester starts? If so I'm not sure it would help unless it would be to reimburse you for your moving expenses. But then again I am not a student yet so I wouldn't know for sure.

I dont know if this has been posted yet... too lazy to look back. BUT is anyone going to the second look weekend? Does anyone know if the students that attend are mostly decided and will be in next years class or if there will mostly be ppl who are still on the fence? I am attending the second look and I know I will be going next fall. Just wondering.

I don't think it really was discussed that much in this thread. Have you joined the University if Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry Class of 2017 group? There was some discussion about going to Second Look weekend in there and some people said they definitely plan on going and attending. I know I'm going to second look and I definitely plan on attending Rochester. I'm sure you can revive that topic as well since we are getting a little closer to the date.

Just got an email saying that I was in top-tier of the waitlist and they expect I'll get an acceptance. Anybody else?

Didn't get it. I wonder if these are sent throughout the day or all at once?

I got mine at 9:30 EST this morning, so if you got it at 11, it seems that they're at least not sent out quite all at once.

Have hope! 😀

I received that email around 8:30 CST too, so it looks like this morning was it. I'm really excited too because I'm not accepted anywhere at this point and I was really really impressed with Rochester. I hope "fully expect" is correct!

I'm withdrawing from wait list consideration to go to my state school, so I hope it helps somebody 😉

Does anyone know if Rochester participates in the SDS scholarship program?

Will we be able to see our aid packages online, or do we have to wait for the snailmail?

Anyone know, based on past years, if the "top-tier waitlist" email is sent only on a single day or if it is still possible to receive it?

Based on the previous years' threads, it looks like:

1. There is one wave of HPWL emails sent out,
2. HPWL movement mostly happens mid-May (there may be some movement late April), and
3. The odds of getting in off regular waitlist are slim to none.

I wouldn't hold my breath.

I never got the high priority waitlist email. Honest opinion, should I just assume rejection? Looks like it is a rejection from the past thread and the above post.

I wish I had seen this before I sent an update letter/LOI this week, would have saved some time.

Just got a call from Dr. Hansen offering me a spot! Was on the HP wait list! Good luck to everyone else waiting to hear!

Received a call last Friday afternoon! Super excited! I really enjoyed my visit to this school. My only concern is the town itself, coming from NYC. Any thoughts?

If you think of Rochester as a city you're going to be disappointed, but it certainly has "enough" to keep a lot of people busy. It's nothing like NYC but if you think of it like a big town (which it seems like you do) you'll have a better sense of what it's going to offer.

I withdrew my acceptance a few days ago, so I hope offers continue to go out to those waiting so patiently!

You're welcome! I actually just withdrew an hour or so ago. It was a very difficult decision, but alas. I think Rochester is a fantastic school and I really hope you enjoy it!

Thanks, wolf! I loved Rochester and think I'll fit in there really well. I was a Religion major and did a post-bac. Where'd you choose to go?
