Rejected as well. Sigh...I was really hoping to continue avoiding these rejections waves. IS complete 7/17, 3.5/3.4/32O

Rejected today....complete way back in July. Almost forgot I even applied here!

Agreed, it was one of the more tactful rejection emails 😀
 
is it ok to write the interview essays a week or so in advance of the interview? or is that too late

Yes it is. I wrote my essays exactly 7 days before my interview and my interviewers had my responses so it should be fine.

I did a while ago. No, I don't think it means anything. I believe they send these to everyone who submits a primary here.
 
rejected. Saw it coming but I had hope because I kept surviving different rounds of rejections. Guess they finally reviewed my application and decided I wasn't good enough. Oh well, I still have 6 MD interviews so not going to lose sleep over this one.

+1...Oh well. At least they did not keep me hanging.
 
Rejected earlier this week. Have to say this one hurt especially after surviving several rounds of rejections. I really felt like a good fit. 🙁
 
Damn, too lazy to look through the pages, but is there a good reason why alot of you guys weren't accepted? I'm seeing some really good numbers here. Is it an OOS thing, ECs or interviews?

accepted!!! interviewed early november. i want to say 11/8?
 
OMG I interviewd 11/9 now I so nervous. I hope they didnt skip me over. This is my first choice Im ready to hear back from them. Hopefully good news. CONGRATS you guys

Trust me I will let you know! Good or bad. Im crazy nervous. I really wish my mom would stop emailing me so I can stop having mild break downs every time my email alert goes off:laugh:

Does anyone know if Rochester specifically in the first two years is P/F or is it Honors, High Pass, Pass, Fail ???
 
Its strictly P/F the first two years and honors, high honors etc for the 3rd and 4th year. 1st and 2nd year each test, they will rank you amongst the class, but I was told no one will ever see that ranking after the test. Like residency programs will not know how you ranked each exam for example.

Also got accepted this morning, interview 11/9. Seems like there's 3 of us from that day so far. So excited!!!! :laugh:
 
For those of you who have already been accepted. How do you get into the facebook group? I friended Nicholas but I don't know if we have to message him to add us as well. Anyone know?

I received their e-mail. It doesn't actually send me to the group though. It says to friend Nicholas and we should be able to get in. He already accepted my request but I still can't find the actual group. Do I have to message him to be added?

AS a former waitlisted applicant, I can pretty much guarantee that only accepted applicants are invited to Second Look...either that or I never got my invite
 
Has anyone who interviewed in December heard back from Rochester yet?
 
Can any current medical students on this forum speak about the Academic Research Track? How does the experience differ from a typical year-out of research at another institution? When does one apply (before matriculation or while in the first year)? Thank you!
 
Sorry to crowd this up with more questions, but I'm also curious to know more about the international opportunities at Rochester. I probably won't be doing the Latino or International Tracks, but I'd like to do something abroad in Spain or Latin America. Can any current students clarify what the agreement with the Universidad de Navarra, for example, entails? Ie, can you "study abroad" at some point during the first two years, or would you only be able to go abroad for elective rotations (as is seems to be the case at most schools)?
 
heyo folks, I'm on the alternate list here and I'm trying to find out were my certiphi background check was requested from - any other alternates here get a background check?
 
Ignore me - I just found out you can call certiphi and they'll tell ya - didn't get it from here
 
Anyone knows if they ask you about your new grades on the interview day. Are there any essay style questions we have to answer on this day?
