Just got my first acceptance letter here!!! omgomgomg I'm gonna be a doctor!! Interviewed 10/2!

Keep your head up! I think I saw a few posts ago that someone from 10/2 was accepted a couple weeks earlier, so it's not necessarily in order. You can still be hearing good news soon!
 
Accepted! First acceptance, one of my top choices! Interviewed 10/16.

HAHA! Me too! I was just sitting there with my phone and when I saw the email I was like, "Oh it's probably another post-interview survey..."

I couldn't even READ it... I had to take my phone to my supervisor and I was nearly in tears saying, "I'm so sorry but I can't read this email... My eyes aren't working... Does this actually say I got in?!" He laughed at me for like 10 min straight.


ALSO: Does anyone know if there is a deposit or anything to hold my spot? Do I literally just click "YES" to the Essential Characteristics etc. thing and then submit my E-signature? Sorry but I'm so paranoid I just need to make sure I'm doing it right haha.

I believe there's no deposit. There wasn't for me and I read elsewhere that there isn't.

Oh, and.....CONGRATS!
 
Any interview invites or rejections lately seems like its been a few weeks of no word

Yeah me too, but someone mentioned they noticed the trend was every two weeks, not one. Noting happened last week, but people were rejected the one before that. Anyhow who knows, really haha

Me too 🙁 I've had an interview, a pre-interview hold, a pre-interview rejection, and the rest is just silence.

Hopefully they show some interview love tomorrow. Would love to have every chance possible to be a cali-certified med student. Come at me USC!
 
Does anyone know how interviewers are involved in the process? do they have to meet with the adcom and present you or do they do a write-up? and should i call!? people my interview date have heard back and I haven't =[

The interviewers fill out an evaluation which is added to the file.

That was at the undergrad campus (a few miles away). Thankfully, no students / faculty / staff were involved, and the suspects have been apprehended. Very unfortunate, still.

On a much lighter note: Congratulations to all those accepted! Welcome to the Trojan family. We look forward to meeting you at second-look in the Spring.

anybody interview during the week of 10/16 not hear anything yet, or do you know if there's an order or anything of when accepts versus waitlist emails go out? i loved keck when i interviewed!

Rejected pre-interview today as well. Complete around 7/20.

Not really sad at all though; I don't think USC would have been the right fit. I wish all the rest of you luck however!

Looks like they're going back through all the people who were complete a looooong time ago...complete 8/8 :scared:
 
I've been complete since 7/18 and I've yet to hear anything back.
 
Sorry if this has already been asked, but does Keck accept LOI/update letters pre-interview? I've been complete since mid-July and have managed to dodge all the waves of rejections so far, so hopefully it means that they're on the fence of giving me an II.

So many people have asked this same thing and I believe the general consensus is that they really don't care about LOIs or in the area emails. Give this thread a search as well as last year's thread and you'll see what I'm talking about. But then again, you're free to try and let us know your own experiences! I'm in the same boat (no II 🙁), good luck :xf:

After interview day, I believe that USC doesn't care about this. The secondary is a pretty big deal from what Dr. Arias said. They're looking for personality fit.
 
Lol just realized I've been complete here since 7/10.

No news is half good news because it means I haven't been rejected yet... right?
 
I think I'm being discriminated against because I brought up the gunshots at a party on campus a few weeks ago. USC if you're reading this, I'M SORRY. Please don't do me like this. I'd drag my *feet* through a 1000 miles of shard glass just to hear you give me an interview invite through a walkie talkie.

I don't judge!
