how long after previous meetings did it take for people to see a status change? thanks
 
it's usually several days, and then you'll get a "file has been reviewed" status, which will be up there for a few more days. I'd imagine new statuses (waitlist, accepted, declined) will go up sometime next week.

Just checked: "Your file has been reviewed by the Admissions Committee. We will be contacting you shortly regarding the status of your application." updated today. Interviewed 2/19.

yup, that's it! If folks are getting in from this past meeting, it will probably happen next Tuesday-ish based on past timing.
 
does everyone get the status change at the same time if they were reviewed? I interview the 21st and didnt get a status change.
 
does anyone know if you get that status change if you have been previously waitlisted?
 
Appreciate the feedback! The public health project seems really interesting. I saw a few suggestions for hotels before, but is there any in particular that any one suggests?
 
I received an interview invite in the first week of January, but the interview is for April 11th. Anybody have a better idea than me of why I have to wait so long, while others have been notified only recently of an interview and are well before me?

I am out of state, so I am not sure if that has something to do with it?

Call them and ask to be notified if any sooner interview spots open up.

Does this mean that people who did not receive a status change today will have to wait until the committee meets again in April? Ahh!!!!!!!
 
did anyone who interviewed after Feb 21st get a status change? thanks.
 
Can someone comment on the grading system at UVM? I can't seem to find it on their website.

Just a quick note folks: Today is Match Day for 4th-year students, so there likely won't be any status updates until after the weekend. Though, you never know, the person who sends acceptances is known to do so at all hours.

Interviewed 1/31 and still no change from:
"We hope that you enjoyed your interview at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and that you were able to learn more about our school, curriculum and life in Burlington.

Your file will now be reviewed by the Admissions Committee and you will be notified in the coming weeks regarding the final decision of the committee."

I got the same thing. Anyone know how they contact you for an acceptance/wait-list? Is there a call and or email if you are accepted, or just an update on the Online Applicant Center?

No email for waitlist, your status just changes. Acceptance will result in a status change and email.

I think I did, but I'm not sure. I don't check that often, so it's possible that status was up, but just not long enough for me to see it.

This would be very unlikely. The "your file has been reviewed" message may not be up for very long, but it is a phase that you will transition through on the way to acceptance or waitlist.

The delay between file review, and OAC status update to reflect that review has occurred is typically quite brief. The delay on the other end (between review and accept/WL) tends to be a good bit more variable.
 
so if we didn't get the status change, does that mean we have to wait till April?

Jelly. This school is still ignoring me even though I sent them so many letters of interest that I ran out of things to say. haha 🙁

I sent them a LOI too. I was complete wayyy back in July and got pooled shortly after...don't give up hope! 🙂
 
Has anyone from OOS that interviewed in December or later gotten an acceptance off the waitlist?

I sent one a few weeks ago and got one too! Can anyone tell me more about the school? What kind of questions will they ask?
 
Do decisions go out on Tuesdays following the "a decision has been made status"

But don't OOS'ers get "waitlisted" (or whatever it's called) automatically, regardless of if there are seats still available? I think he/she means WL as in when all the spots are taken

I wish I could give you specific information, but there is just no way to be certain.

Having gotten to know members of the AdCom quite well over the past year, what I can reassure you of is that they spend a LOT of time considering each candidate (really, you would be amazed). Because they take such a thorough approach, it does take longer than many of us would like to send out acceptances - but the results of the selection process are well worth it...they have the process of crafting a cohesive class down to an absolute art.


I know it's not the answer you are looking for, but it's the best that I can offer at the moment. 🙂
