There were A LOT of people considered this round. It might not be bad to be pushed over to Feb. if that happens!! I doubt the 4s and 5s have been rejected yet if they haven't even updated the status for so many people.

Phew! That makes sense! Because Dr. W-C told us we'd be the last group to hear on the 17th (we were interviewed on the 6th).

Also, good luck everyone! I really fell in love with VCU on interview

should we be expecting possible acceptances tomorrow around 6?
 
Is it true that the threshold priority score for acceptance increases each subsequent decision date, so that it is slightly easier to get in the next time?
 
Just wanted to let you all know that I just received an email for a post-interview status update. Interviewed 11/26. Maybe they will start sending out more updates tonight. Good luck!

Just got the hold status email tonight as well. Interviewed 11/15. I have a feeling I was reviewed a while ago and the system is just updating everyone's status before the decisions tomorrow!

Good luck to everyone being considered.

With my luck though I probably won't hear anything tomorrow. 🙁
 
alright guys, last time, people found out at about 6:30. So we got about 16 hours to go. Whooooo

got an interview invite on Friday, withdrawing my application post acceptance to my top choice. Hope the interview goes to someone who really wants it! Good luck!!
 
Has anyone heard anything? I thought they were going to let us know if we're accepted/waitlisted/rejected at 6 but my application status still has the hold status.

If you have the hold status (and thus weren't rejected outright after your interview), the only thing you could possibly hear today around 6 pm is acceptance. They don't form the waitlist until after all of the other acceptance dates (February 1 and March 16), so if you don't hear back today, it doesn't necessarily mean you won't be accepted on one of those days.
 
Wow...there are 35 of us sitting on this thread right now... I confess; I'm just sitting here refreshing the page every few minutes. 🙂
 
As I understand it the committee meets, votes on your application from 1-5 then offers at the various dates. Does anyone know if they have an IS vs. OOS ranking pool for post-interview offers? For example this offer today the IS # could be 1.8 and the OOS # could be 1.4. Does anyone know if that is the case or the # for both IS and OOS is the same so for example, today's number for both IS and OOS is say 1.5.

I will have to wait to evaluate what financial aid I receive. Though I am definitely leaning towards UNC at this point, I was very impressed with VCU on interview day, and in the (unlikely) event that they offer me an awesome financial aid package...well, I'll have to visit both schools for second look before I can make a definite decision.
 
So they won't call us right ? Decision is informed through email / website's status update right ? I just want to know so that I can stop sitting by the phone the entire day lol.

They will not call. If accepted expect a response via email after 6pm.

ARG nothing yet. No hold, no nothing. This is so upsetting, especially since Dr. W-C told us 12/6ers we'd be hearing. Such an anti-climax, I'm so not looking forward to 1.5 more months of waiting game.

Seems like some people from last year's thread got status updates only a few hours before decisions were released. I wouldn't lose hope yet.

Just a few more hours guys! If I don't get in today, it'll be disappointing since I've been waiting for over 2 months, but at least the next decision date is only 1.5 months away!

Just called the admissions office. December 6 interviewees haven't been gotten to yet. Oh well. I guess I have to wait another 1.5 months. Sigh.

No, but they said that our date is being reviewed as we speak in the adcom meeting going on right now.
Sigh, had I known, I'd have picked November 29, even if I had to pay like 1000$ airfare. I really hope my chances aren't toast now that I only have 2 acceptance dates left for them to consider me.

I wouldn't worry about this too much... if you had a good enough priority score to be offered admission today, but they don't deliberate over your file and give you that priority score until next committee meeting Monday, you'll be good enough to be offerred a spot for sure come Feb 1. The only thing that stinks is the wait.
 
although i wish you all the best, i'm also kind of dreading hearing all your good news if i don't get an email.:scared: 3 more hours!

Well, if you guys have good enough scores to get admitted this time, you guys will be admitted next time. Sucks to wait, but you'll end up getting the same news either way.

Off to the gym now; when I come back, maybe there will be an email from VCU waiting for me! :xf:
 
VCU is killing me! I have been waiting since September.
