2013-2014 Tulane University Application Thread

Thanks for responding! Does it require a transfer to get to NO? I plan on taking the bus into the city, and few websites seem to say that I will be riding the buses of two different transit authorities...

No, the bus will take you directly from the airport to Downtown to where the medical campus is. If you're trying to get to Tulane's other campus you will have to transfer or find another way to get there.

Rejected this morning. Complete 9/20, 3.5+, 30+, non-trad. Good luck to everyone else!

Weird. I only got a submitted email.

I got an automated e-mail when I submitted, but it was 2+ weeks before I got the complete e-mail. Apparently it can take a while...

Any IIs who were complete in September?

I don't remember sorry. I think so though. It was one of the more expensive secondaries- 125-135? Its in the secondary instructions pdf that they send you with the secondary invite

You can take the airport bus either to Tulane's undergrad campus or the med school. I know because I interviewed there and did this. there is also a bus from the undergrad campus to the med school but I'd recommend calling a cab.

Does anyone know how and when Tulane sends our acceptances/waitlists/rejections post interview?

Hey guys - I picked up Tulane as a late addition to my AMCAS. Just wondering, does anybody think it would be worth the $125 if I submit the secondary tonight? I'm just worried that October might be a little late. Stats are 33, 3.97 GPA, and OOS.

I just got an email notifying me that I was accepted to the entering class of 2014! I sincerely hope this is real and not an error because I had interviewed at Tulane September of 2013 and was wait listed, but I had not interviewed at Tulane this application cycle.

Is there anyone else who has had a similar experience?

If I were you I would just proceed and not draw attention to that fact....

Does anyone know how they said they do the acceptances/waitlists? Do they let us know if we have been waitlisted or only accepted?

Oops I meant to say I interviewed September 2012, but you get the idea.

Damn! Good for you!! Congrats!!😀

I guess no word from Tulane today. I did get my II at midnight, so perhaps they'll follow suit for their acceptances 😀

Same thing happened to me bro! It was one of the best surprises I could have gotten. Congrats!

Just fyi, it looks like for the 2011-2012 cycle notices went out around noon on October 18th, though last year they went out late on the 15th.

Just called admissions at Tulane to ask if they have any idea when decisions will be sent. They tell me that they are using a new filing system which has caused some delays, and that they hope to send out decisions by the end of the week.

Hope Tulane shows me some love-- post-interview rejection yesterday from my state school-- feeling pretty awful.

Do you know if they are sent out via mail, email or phone?

you guys are funny...if you come to tulane be prepared to wait...wait...then find out about important stuff like two days before it happens.

Acceptance range=wait list right? Not that I've heard anything yet.

Haha fair enough. Looks like we'll have to wait through the weekend now :/

What do you mean by that!

haha nothing bad, just that if you are from the west coast or the north east you gotta get adjusted to the slower pacing down here (and its good for us medical students, I think, to have to not always be rushing around everywhere).
