my app was verified oct 10 and my secondary finished oct 12 and i havent heard anything at all from this school...idk if i should be nervous or what

People have been waiting to hear back a lot longer than 2 months. I wouldn't be too concerned just yet.

i was in town today and decided to drop into the admissions office to see what was up with the whole process. the lady at the desk said that they should be done handing out IIs or pre-interview rejections by the end of this month or the first half of january. i was complete 9/24, no word since. fingers crossed for everyone here
 
Anyone heard anything lately. I interviewed December 6th. Haven't seen a lot of movement on this forum lately

Hey, I interviewed on Dec. 6th, too. I received the acceptance call from Dr. Souza on Dec. 19th.

Good luck though, I remember them saying it could take four to six weeks to hear back.

Did you apply for a specialized program?? Has anyone else heard back from that day?

I hope that they aren't done with the people from our interview day. Doesn't make me hopeful, considering that they probably batch all the decisions in the same groups as our interview.
 
I really hope that the committee waited til today to make acceptance calls. That would be a really amazing gift! The best christmas present ever!!

Congrats.

I interviewed on dec 6th. The interview, campus, experience, and staff are all amazing. Just remember to relax and be yourself, there really isn't much you can do to prepare for the mmi, it's pretty fun, and a cool experience. I am hoping to get some good christmas news as well!!

Today marks three weeks since I interviewed. I haven't seen many acceptances recently, so I'm hoping for some good news today. It seems that if you haven't gotten the call within two weeks, it's not great news. Staying positive, because I loved everything about the school.
 
speaking of specialized programs... has anyone heard any news from the specialized programs? are they still interviewing?

I have a Skype interview scheduled for early Jan for the SJV program. What was weird to me is that my regular MD interview is later in the month, and I thought they wanted to do the special program interviews after you do the regular one.

Should I still submit a pre-interview update to Davis? Or is it too late now?
 
Is anyone interviewing tomorrow? This is my first mmi and I'm so nervous!

Thanks for sharing that valuable piece of info. Does anyone think this pretty much goes for the rest of the UC's? I'm worried because I haven't heard from UCs yet, post-secondary.

No...it varies from school to school. There is definitely still hope at some of the other UCs!

I interviewed here on December 6th and I am still awaiting a decision. Admissions said last week that they hadn't been made yet due to the holidays. I was wondering if that is true or if I am one of the unlucky few

I spoke with an admin at uci today and he told me they have had some computer issues and haven't been able to review apps as efficiently as they had hoped. I was also complete in early sept but there is no rhyme or reason as to when your app is reviewed once in the main pool.

As for the Davis interview, I got mine almost instantly, within 1-2 weeks of submitting. Seems like that Is the trend for the most of the people I interviewed with and spoke to.

Thanks! I think it really cleared things for me. Still hoping for something good from UCI...but not so much from UCD anymore hah.
 
Has anyone been pulled off of the interview waitlist yet? Still waiting for rejection/II.... 🙁
 
I have been complete as well since oct 3. Nothing but silence since then
 
Oh man I've been complete since 8/14 but complete silence, not even a waitlist for the interview.

How doomed am I? Doomed like Napoleon in Waterloo or doomed like "I think I'm doomed but I may still have hope?"
 
I called admissions earlier this week and the woman I spoke with said that they are working to get IIs and pre-interview rejections out in the next week and a half. Hopefully we'll have some news by the end of next week!

The After Interview email states "Unless requested, we do NOT accept accept additional information." But I'm wondering if thank you notes are counted in that. Regardless, I sent one after a wonderful interview day yesterday!
 
I did not send any thank you note, but a note to Dean Henderson would help you a lot imo!
 
During your interview at UCD, did they mention about their new curiculum?

What specifically are you talking about? They have a new program 3+3 schooling+residency with Kaiser. Maybe you're referring to something else?
 
They are undergoing LCME accreditation right now and as part of the deal, to be accredited, they have to change parts of their curriculum in addition to some administrative changes, such as bringing a new Dean.You can read more on their website
