Interview invite!! I'm so honored

Just FYI to everyone: The interview invite is just on the status page - there's no PDF to open. I know some people were concerned about not being able to open a file to see what was inside.

Congrats! We're you IS or OOS? I'm curious when we'll start to see some more OOS II's go out.

It's typically longer than that. I was complete Aug 20th and nothing yet. You might not hear anything until Dec or Jan. They won't necessarily make a definitive decision after a certain amount of time. This goes for almost every school.

Yeah seems like they're still on mid to late August people. At least that's what I keep telling myself 🙁

It's definitely too early to worry. It took ~1.5 months for me. Considering how many rejections they seemed to have sent out, I think no news is good news definitely applies here 🙂

OOS and got an II earlier last week. My secondary was complete early Aug.

I believe it was 500 interviewed (~350 IS and ~150 OOS) but idk the number accepted off the top of my head.

My understanding was that it was ~50% of those interviewed were accepted

Pyrrion, I just checked out your mdapps page. And I am in total awe of you. Not going to lie, I was definitely a bit jelly scrolling through and seeing all those interviews you have lined up. But then I read your interview recaps...holy cow batman, that writing! I can only imagine what a work of art your PS and secondaries must be.

After becoming a man and growing tired of being a banana slug, I decided I wanted to morph into a grizzly bear and live in the Yukon. And I wanted to be a male bear, so, yes, I am technically "male."

Complete 8/19, no secondary invite, was fairly relieved by the rejection because this was such a giant reach and I knew no secondary since 8/19 was probably a rejection. Whew! Just wanted to get my first rejection over with, like a giant medical school admissions bandaid.

Anyone know around when they stop sending secondaries? I haven't heard anything from them. I'm optimistic that they just haven't gotten to me because of my lower stats and that they will still send me a secondary because I'm a good fit with their mission.

Well they definitely reject and lower stats they don't want seem to get rejected early. If you're a good fit its possible that your low stats got you in a hold pile and they will send you a secondary just later.


When were you verified by amcas? they definitely reject so its a good sign you haven't heard anything

I also haven't gotten a secondary and was verified 8/8. Yet to get rejected either.

yo alpharez, i was verified 8/30 and they secondaried me last week with a 7 VR. dont lose hope!
