I'm scared now... a string of rejections. submitted 9/11

I got rejected awhile back pre-secondary. It stung mainly because of the timing. I got it the night before my first interview.

But looking back, I appreciated that these guys just cut you loose fast rather than string you along for months of silence. For those who did get II's, congrats. From the MSAR, it looks like they take more than 50% of interviewees, so you guys have a great chance. Good luck.

Rejected pre-secondary.

IS/3.8GPA/30. Complete around 9/26. I'm thinking about sending an appeal since they didn't even ask for secondaries and I can update them on new activities; will that be a good idea? Also can I send an appeal via email to the admissions committee or should it be by mail?

The JMP is a blackhole of uncertainty! Haven't heard anything. Good news is, they are only scheduling interviews for early December right now. Two other schools sent me invites in September/October and they are scheduled for January!

It seems a bit random/out of order. I got my II 6 weeks after I was complete...but someone else posted today who it sounds like heard back after 9 or 10 weeks. But since ucsf sends out rejections (not silent), no news is good news!

no grad school

I can't remember now if applying for JMP kicks us out of the MD-only pool...it doesn't, right? The JMP statistics are not good for acceptance (60-80 interviewed for 12 spots).
Will be interviewing twice, once at UCSF and once at UCB.

JMP isn't so bad. A good number of people get accepted but decline because they get into UCSF, decide they don;t really like the format, etc. I think they accept 20-25. Still not fantastic, but a lot better than 12.

I am kinda confused as to whether I am invited only for the JMP or for both the JMP and MD. It doesn't show me any available dates. It only tells me to call and schedule 2 interviews one at Berkeley and the other at UCSF, do 'JMP only' interviewees get interviewed at both Berkeley and UCSF?
