Last year they went out mid-January.
Yep - sorry! I just reread last year's thread. Looks like first acceptances January 15th with waitlists following a few days after.

Rejected here today pre-II. Best of luck to those still in the running.
Sorry to hear that. Mind sharing complete date? Thanks!
The Einstein website says "Earliest date for letter of acceptance for the regular M.D. - February 1"Yup! But last year the MSAR said January 15th while this year it says February 1st. So who knows when they will come out!
That's what it says but someone in admissions told someone at my interview that they may try to get them out earlier. The Einstein website says "Earliest date for letter of acceptance for the regular M.D. - February 1"

I just received a very odd and very concerning email from here asking me if I'm still interested in this school.
It makes me wonder what options other schools are utilizing to cope with what seems to be a larger than expected pool of applicants. Yikes.
Nope. That is kinda odd. Did you interview here?

Just rejected. Average to above average stats for Einstein. Good luck, everyone!

I got the same around the same time. I'm guessing they sent out rejections and this email around the same time? So still in the running?I just received a very odd and very concerning email from here asking me if I'm still interested in this school.

Did you possibly get the odd email that was mentioned earlier in the thread? It said something about emailing them back if you still want to be consideredpre-interview rejection today. OOS, complete 11/11. Good luck everyone!
This is something Einstein has done for a while with applicants on the wait list in June-ish, first time I've heard of them doing it for students pre-interview. Although I would assume the strategy is the same - to see who is actually still interesting and who is just too lazy to withdraw after being accepted elsewhere. They have a limit to how many they can interview, so I would think this is a way of narrowing down the field before they send out more II's.I just received a very odd and very concerning email from here asking me if I'm still interested in this school.

I'm interviewing here in Feb and had some research updates. How would you handle this? Pre Interview update letter or couple it with a thank you letter after the interview day?
See you there!Well, I guess I'm going to scramble to write an update letter today/tomorrow because my interview got moved WAYYY up.
Soooo.... anyone else going to be there this friday!?!?!?
Hmm..i'm only familiar with the secret 3 minute SDN dance. Will look into the handshake, though!
Aw shucks 🙁So I spoke with admissions... no decision until February 1st this year 🙁

Just my thoughts though, I have no inside information!

Other than that the day was amazeballs.
I'll be here soon and this is exciting to hear, especially since this is my dream before even applying. Is it just the one interview then lunch/tour at noon and you're done? I'm pumped
Yeah, Interview, Semi Tour, Lunch, Continued Tour, and then done. Word of advice for lunch, make sure you get a drink, I didn't notice where the drinks where until I was at the register. I was in too deep to turn back. Learn from my mistake.
Out you?
Lol at crazy people. Glad you loved the interview! You can go back and get a drink and more food!
Was talking crap about me at the interview.
"Whose that ridethecliche guy he's supposed to be here. Which one of you is it?"
I just kept quiet and let her dig her hole. The med students were laughing at her and wondering how someone could be so petty. Other interviewees that didn't know my irl identity thought she was obnoxious too, so it wasn't just me.
No idea what her handle is, but I must have called her out somewhere in the forum. I definitely don't regret it now lol.
I'm still laughing about how everyone was uncomfortably looking around as she kept going on and trying to get me to confess as to who I was.
Haha thanks man, it was great meeting you! Loved this school as well and really hoping we become classmates here!Found my dream school. @RIPCombo is the man as well. Great meeting you today and keep in touch
