I was told the same but that was way before this was revealed. While I doubt this will have an immediate impact, Yeshiva will need a way to relieve the debt and I'm not sure what that means for the medical school in the future.

I to was told the same before the deal fell through. Montefiore taking over Einstein would have been a great thing. I don't think Einstein will be going anywhere in the near future, but I cant see how this won't effect many of the things that make Einstein special (mainly cuts to their robust research and global health experiences). Hopefully they have some sort of public comment in the coming weeks on the plan for the medical school over the next few years.

Is there a way to check status? Cant seem to find access to a portal with status updates besides accessing my secondary...

II today. Completed end of Aug. Decided not to attend in light of other acceptance. Best of luck to those who are still waiting!
 
Does anyone know if Einstein is receptive to post-interview updates, and if so, what the procedure would be to send one?
 
Hmm I was complete end of August/Early September though I didn't get the complete email until End of September or Early-Mid October. Should I worry that I will not be offered an interview?
 
Has anyone completed around 11/15 heard anything? Good or bad?
 
Interviewing here early Jan. Are there any current students, people in the area, or past-interviewees that can recommend accommodations? I'm trying to get as close as possible to the COM without having to walk too much (weather + hair + suit = ugly interview), pay $$$$, etc. I am also traveling with my boyfriend, so I guess that excludes me from staying with a student. I've never been to NY, so suffice to say I'm a touch overwhelmed. Thanks for any help you can offer!

I have an interview in February. Do people have good chances during these interviews or are they mainly waitlist spots? I only ask because Einstein seems to interview so many people.

I imagine you have a good shot since acceptances don't start going out until mid February

Same here - haven't heard from them since I was complete in July. Yikes.

I was just like "hey, wait a second, why haven't they rejected me yet?!" Oh well...
 
For anyone who interviewed, did they say anything about updating your fall grades? I would like to send my updated transcript because my GPA went up, but I'm not sure if I should send it before or after my interview in Feb.

Nothing was said about updates although I didn't bring it up. mik30102 commented on updates a few post befor yours about how they didn't seem to love the idea but would take them.
 
got pre-II rejection email! not too surprised, as I've done best with schools that allow me to flesh out a lot in the secondary (e.g. duke) - einstein is quite the opposite, but I did think I was a good fit. LM~66, research & EC/service heavy
 
Also got a pre-II rejection today. LizzyM 76-77. I would have loved to interview and have a chance of attending here, but it is not meant to be! Good luck to everyone still in the running!

Sorry, I completely forgot! Secondary submitted end of August, complete email October 3
 
does anyone know what dates they're scheduling interviews for?? surprisingly, not rejected yet but keeping the hope alive!
@kjj17 you're already killing it! you don't need einstein 😛
 
Finally heard back since being complete in August - pre-II rejection. AE was one of my top choices. Like someone else mentioned above, maybe it's just not meant to be. Peace out, New York. Until next time.

haha thanks. I have had way better luck this cycle than anticipated (fingers crossed for duke!), sincerest good luck to everyone else still in the running!

It says february 1st in MSAR but I thought last years thread had the acceptances going out mid february. Not 100% sure either way
