Is anyone else interviewing in December besides on 12/5? I am scheduled to interview this Friday, but something came up and I am hoping that I can reschedule to another date in December. I called the CMU Med office recently, but the only person who knows when the interview dates are is out of office until tomorrow or the next day. Yes, I know how strange that sounds.

What's the next step after accepting the offer? When do we start applying for scholarships? January?

I think the next step is to fill out the FAFSA. It will be available beginning January 1st. Once you designate the schools you have been accepted at, your application gets forwarded to the school. The school compiles your financial aid award and emails/mails it to you. I'm guessing at that point all scholarship information and all should be sent to you as well. At that point you could either accept all, some or none of the financial aid.

I may not be 100% sure of the exact process but you could call the financial aid office and they will fill you in.

I just realized I completely forgot to ask about the grading system, is it pass/fail or ABCDE?

MMI was fun today. Kelly said they meet Tuesday so we should expect news Wednesday or after in the week.
Quick turnaround for your group! Those of us who interviewed 11/21 have been anxiously waiting for tomorrow - scared and excited for the past week... Tomorrow is going to be a heavy day... Best of luck to everyone, I enjoyed meeting some of you on Interview Day, and I hope that we all share in some good news.

I interviewed 11/21 too! GOOD LUCK!!

Hopefully some good news for all of us. Anyone know what time we should expect a call? I have a test at 2:30 so it'd be nice not to miss it.

Lol good luck everyone 🙂. I can't wait 🙂. Keep me post it though this thread.

Sigh...post-interview hold. I thought my MMI went really well too...

I got waitlisted 🙁

Is a post-interview hold the same thing as waitlist?

No. If they go thru the entire wait list and still need students, they then go the hold list. So I'm pretty much done here.

It's OK, I didn't even like this school! 🙄

Does anyone know if they are doing to "priority waitlist" thing again this year? I saw some people talking about it on last years thread and just wondering if anyone has gotten that yet this cycle?

Anyone flying into DTW on Jan. 15th for the interview on the 16th?
Just wanted to see if anyone would like to share a ride.

Do you know the statistics of what % of people got off the waitlist last year?
No. But I according to the past year thread, getting waitlisted this early in the cycle is a high chance of acceptance. Since this school is new and all.

Really upset i got put an post-interview hold at CMU. I thought the MMI went well and really liked the school. Basically means after they go thru the waitlist, then they'll look at my app. Well, now to send my $1250 deposit :smack:

Didn't like the school? Are you sure?

Edit: found in another thread btw

Waitlisted today. I am pretty upset, still waiting for a first acceptance. I definitely thought this was going to be it.

I don't know any stats, but what I do know is about 200 people declined acceptances last year. That is what one of the staff told us during interview day.

Still waiting on an email...getting anxious!

My fingers are certainly crossed. Hopefully, I'll be pulled off the waitlist. Patience is key.... I guess.

I didn't get an email. Starting to freak out...

You probably got accepted. No email=accepted. Most likely
In the same boat, no email or call yet...been on the edge of my seat all day. I don't even care what the decision at this point, I just want to know. But I hope you're right @fitdoctor09 🙂

If I'm remembering correctly from Interview Day, we were told that around 400 people would be interviewed this year, around 200 would be accepted, and they aim for a class of 104 students (which infers a process that includes accepted students declining their seats, and hopeful applicants moving up the waitlist until the class is full).

GOOD LUCK!! I've been refreshing my phone all day that I'm draining my battery!

Interviewed on 12/5. Should I expect to hear back today? This is getting scary

Interviewed 11/21 (second group) - no email or phone call yet. Do they continue making calls until late or tomorrow? I'm hoping the fact that I didn't get an email is a good thing.

I got my call like around 7pm. I feel your pain.

Accepted! Good luck to everyone else applying.

I am a bit confused though - do we only have 10 days to give an answer? Can we accept and then decline at a later date? I was under the impression that April was when they needed a decision.

You can hold multiple acceptances up until April. So they need the decision as to whether or not you want to hold a spot in the class within 10 days, but you don't have to make a final decision until April

I was accepted yesterday and just got my official acceptance letter today. I haven't read anything about putting a deposit down to hold my spot..is there not a deposit or have I not looked hard enough?

Thank you for the reply, Ruby109! And no, there is no deposit to put down after accepting.
