My condolences to the people who were rejected. Was anyone who was rejected have the status below?

We are pleased to notify you that your application has been selected for final review and interview consideration by the Mayo Medical School Admissions Executive Committee.

Where would this status be? In an email or some online portal?

How soon after their receiving of the LORs did you get the file complete email? They got my letters on the 17th and I haven't heard anything since. It sounds to me like my Mayo dreams are ending right about now. Ah well.

I got the email 15 hours after the request for LORs. I'd already assigned letters to Mayo in AMCAS so the process was quick. I got no email in between - just request for LORs, then the "file complete" email.

Also, I don't think it's time for your Mayo dreams to end, if I remember correctly from previous posts there are other people in your position. I think that receiving the LOR request automatically means that you're in the final review stage.

Same here, they requests letters from me 7/15 and my LORs were finally uploaded 7/21 but I haven't heard back since. Best of luck for us!

That's the one I got as well, on 7/17 ... I think the email phrasing varied among complete emails sent on different dates.

I received on July 9 so I wouldn't be surprised if it were by date.

I asked about updates last week and they said the following:

"Supplementary materials should not be sent to our office, unless requested. Brief, significant updates can be sent within the text of an email. Please do not submit any grades or transcripts unless specifically requested.

We are unable to process email attachments.

When the status of an application is updated, the applicant will be notified by email via AMCAS."

Oh, I don't believe a rejection from Mayo has any say about the rest of your app cycle. It's about fit with this particular school, it seems, and not a comment on your aptitude or future success.

Cheer up - the cycle is still young 😀

It is definitely not a silent rejection. Look back in this thread - a couple people earlier this week reported receiving email rejections pre-LOR.

Also, because I'm not sure anyone addressed this, there is no online portal. The only form of communication with Mayo is via e-mail or phone.

They should automatically be notified by AMCAS, I think.

Nothing like a good email from Mayo to give me a brief panic attack. They just told me my LORs are uploaded (finally!) and attached to my AMCAS file.

Lol I just received that email as well, almost had a heart attack. I was wondering if I would ever receive any correspondence that they received my letters after they should have received them about a week ago. Nice to have confirmation...

Just got LOR request as well. Completed July 12. They definitely look beyond the. Stats...thanks to @Leslie_Knope Knope for her positive attitude. You were right-need to be patient

Congrats! I suspect that you were already being reviewed well before someone got around to sending the fee received email. Or perhaps they just really liked what they saw! Either way, well done 🙂
