Will be withdrawing my MN/FL A. Sad to say because I really loved this school and they did a great job of recruiting. Mayo has the best curriculum in the country as far as I'm concerned and it's one of those places where they really mean it when they say the culture is amazing there. Only reason I'm turning it down is I got a similar offer closer to home!

Congrats! I really need to get off this site lol but in the "Florida groupme" (if that exists), are there less than 12 people? Just wondering if I should hold out for a possibility

There’s no MN/FL GroupMe, so there’s no way for me to know

I came to know that there have been no openings for the MN/FL track in the last 2 weeks. Just wondering if you withdrew or if you were planning to attend Mayo Clinic. Good Luck :)

Thank you. I withdrew last Tuesday

My friend contacted admissions and they said “We do not anticipate much more movement if at all going forward off the alternate list.”

Thanks for letting us know. Was this for Minnesota or Florida?

She interviewed for Arizona. But like all of us, her email also said she’ll be considered for all campuses. When she emailed, she asked about Mayo in general. So I assume this applies to all of the locations.

i withdrew my A from here today. VERY difficult decision as I truly honestly believe mayo provides the best medical education of any program and i truly feel the people there love medicine, which I think would have rubbed off on me and the way i approach my career. However, to be closer to my SO i chose elsewhere

FYI that our class list was finalized and sent out yesterday. Really hopeful that anyone still in limbo has been able to move forward with other decisions.

This was a great move for my life and I’m very, very glad I didn’t get in because I didn’t really even wanna be a doctor lol I just wanted the clout. I am way happier in business and my business is doing very well. Truth be told, seven years of medical school and residency felt like looking down the barrel of a shotgun. For every student reading this, everything happens for a reason, and you just need to trust that the path you’re on is a part of a greater destiny.

Glad to hear things worked out for you in their own way—wishing you the best!
