I'm in the same exact position, but I think there's still hope! They must know that later cycle interviewees are more polished, especially in MMI

It's so weird, the different insecurities people have. People who interviewed early are concerned about seeming less polished, and those of us, like me, who interviewed late are feeling that they must already like you guys more since they invited you so early. In the end, it's likely not to be correlated. People early and late are going to be accepted.

So has anyone been willing to seem neurotic enough to email them to ask if the weather changed the plan? It's not needing to know soon that bothers me (as much), but knowing if I'm gonna know soon or not. If that makes sense.

Right there with you. It's been so long that I've cycled between critiquing my interview wondering why anyone even invited me and thinking maybe I have a shot about 10 times now. Guess it won't be too long until we know! Here's to some good news for everyone, hopefully coming sooner rather than later.

I emailed the admissions office and they said due to the snow storm, decisions have been pushed back to Tuesday, February 3.

would not be surprised if they were doing last minute deliberations this week...

Possible explanation: they thought they were going to have to take longer, but the blizzard ended up not being that bad in NYC so they will be able to stick to the original timeline.

How do you find the social/student life with your fellow students?

Do you find there is a competitive or cooperative atmosphere at the school? I believe NYU is P/F, but is it true pass or fail, and if not, does that add to the stress of school?

To answer the above question, I was told at my interview that nyu is ranked pass fail.

It's P/F but I do believe they keep track of ranking internally in determining AOA.

They definitely said during the interview that all decisions will be given out mid January, which is consistent with their admissions website. This is getting pretty frustrating... I bet they wouldn't bee too happy if all their applicants submitted their secondaries 3 weeks past the deadline...
