Wow, nice! Do you have an A somewhere else or would this be your only one?

I have 1 DO A, so this might be a tough decision for me. Delay school 1 year for MD or start in 3 weeks DO. Gonna chat with admissions and learn more. I think I’ll only do it if my seat is guaranteed. If there was a possibility that i withdraw my existing seat and then somehow don’t get an A at NYMC next year it would be a living nightmare lol. That’d be 2 extra years AND another MCAT… and being blacklisted from my top DO choice. Much to think about here

Edit: spoke with admissions - my offer is directly for a seat for the class of 2029, no stipulations besides waiting an extra year

Yeah idk what I’d do if I was in your situation. On the one hand you’ll obviously be going to a better school and get better opportunities. On the other hand the opportunity cost of pushing it off a year is probably around 280k+ depending on your specialty of choice. Really tough choice.

I also got an early assurance A on Friday! This is my only A so I will bc accepting! Class of 2029 here I comeeeeee

Officially rejected from NYMC. Knew it was coming as their orientation is over. Oh well. Good luck everybody!
