The waiting is definitely rough, Decisions typically come Friday or later.
 
I got an interview!! I'm just sort of speechless (and of course excited and grateful) because I had come to terms with not going here (my top choice). I was Invited to interview on Jan 12, one day short of 23 weeks from being complete. I'm really looking forward to the interview, and I'm going to read-up on MMI's as much as possible! I'm OOS, 32 MCAT, 3.55 cumulative GPA, 3.75 science GPA, non-traditional, mission-based for having a parent in Oregon. Good luck to all!
 
to those that have interviewed, how long did the interview day last? im booking flights for my interview so am trying to see if the whole day really lasts until 5pm (like the email says)
 
I am looking at the MSAR and it shows that OHSU interviews about the same number of OOS applicants and IS applicants, but matriculates way more IS. Does this mean that the same number are accepted after interview, but fewer OOS will matriculate and so more IS people are on the wait list? Or do IS students have an advantage post-interview, and an equal amount matriculate elsewhere? I'm just wondering if for IS the acceptance rate is higher than 50% post-interview and for OOS if it's much lower.

I would count on being there till at least 3. However the traffic picks up around 330 so I would be hesitant to say book a flight right after! Source: local.
 
This is my top choice school. So nervous about my interview. Any advice anyone? :scared:I have had only one MMI interview before but they included only actors/actresses who played a role for a specific ethical scenario. Is the MMI here similar?

Ha! I remember one person in another year said they built a script that would display there status on their desktop so they didn't have to go the portal. Thought that was pretty cool
 
So tempted to call and ask. However I don't want to be that guy.
 
They say we are expected to complete the interview by 5PM at the latest. How often does it actually hit the 5PM mark? Would it be possible to make a 6:30PM flight out of PDX on the day of?
 
Unless they are doing MMI in the afternoons now too you should be able to leave early to make the flight. When I interviewed we were done with the "business part" before lunch, the afternoon was mostly tour and financial aid presentation.
 
So many people getting interviews 🙁. I am happy for you all i'm just freaking out. Completed 10/28/2014 and have not had any changes yet... Sorry to whine, congrats to all! This is my number one school so I hope I see some of you there!
 
It's a competitive school. I won't share my stats on here because that is not what you need to focus on. My advice is to be yourself in the interview and demonstrate that becoming a physician is the ONLY thing you want to do. They want students aimed at rural Primary care. Best of luck to everyone.
 
11/14 interview also hoping for any answer this week. I'm OOS so the price tag really scares me, but the opportunities at OHSU are endless (research, connections, facilities, great city). Hands down the nicest place I interviewed at.
