2014-2015 University of Colorado Application Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Did they happen to tell you which applicants they would be accepting?
They said that the first three interview groups (9/5, 9/12, 9/19.. I think) were being reviewed "first." The Adcom was meeting the day of the 9/26 interviews and that group wasn't going to be discussed at that first session. How that plays out in terms of 10/15 I am not sure. I would wager that the Adcom has met again since 9/26, and reviewed the later groups. This was all mentioned during my interview day by Mr. Dickerson!

Edit: Clarity

I interviewed on 10/3 and Vidal said that the executive committee (the adcom) meets about every other week to make admission decisions.

That's what I heard as well! So 9/26 and 10/3 will likely hear back, maybe 10/10? But it was also emphasized that not hearing anything isn't a bad thing.

Agreed. Although if I don't hear back its not going to stop me from freaking out. :nailbiting:

Tomorrow reminds me of Feb 25th when I about lost my mind waiting for MCAT scores. How do they get back to applicants? Phone call?

Mr. Dickerson said at the interview day that you aren't rejected until you are rejected. I am not sure if this is just post-interview, but I would guess that no news is not bad news for pre-II as well.

This is true. It is not at all uncommon to have acceptances given out well into the summer months. In fact, there are current students who were accepted only a week or two before classes began (better late than never I guess). As I recall, interviews continue pretty much weekly until mid-late February

Any other IS applicants complete early August and still haven't heard back for an II? Kinda figured I would've heard back from my state school either yea or nay by now

Did calls go out this morning? On pins and needles over here

I'm assuming the 10/10 folks weren't considered this round...right? Hopefully?

How do you figure? I wonder how many acceptances will be given out today.

A combination of creeping and knowing that many interviewees who live in Colorado attended the first day.

It looks like only people who interviewed the first day were accepted so far. I imagine you did @Hirudo13 ? Also was it Vidal or your interviewers who called?

I interviewed on 9/12. The phone call did not come from Vidal...it came from someone in the Office of Student Life, but (embarrassingly enough) I don't remember her name.

Hoping that they make some more calls this afternoon!.. My hunch though, is that they are done for the day.

Edit : scratch that, old on the way just gave me a boost!!

So do we think they are making the calls in order of interview date...? Congrats to everyone who has gotten one today!

No. I interviewed the 12th and they called someone from the 17th before me.

Anyone get an email with more information? I want validation this is more than just a dream or prank call.

got accepted a couple hours ago but ran off to celebrate

is (i think?), 9/12 interview

i specifically asked what next steps to take and zehnder said that there is an email to come, either later today or tomorrow. 🙂

She did say something about getting an email and a letter in the mail with information on how to submit your deposit, etc. But I was so stupefied I barely registered anything she said.

Any acceptances for interviewees 9/26 or later?

Congrats to everyone accepted today! I was accepted 2 years ago today, cancelled my other interviews, attended CU, and have never looked back! Message me if you have any questions about CU and its awesomeness!

You wouldn't happen to know how often admissions decisions are released, would you? Lol, I am just anxiously awaiting some word 🙂 Couldn't possibly be happier if I got into CU! I am a Buff undergrad

It's exciting to see all these acceptances! I just got an II, so hopefully that'll be me one day! LizzyM ~ 74, OOS
