Original email. You?
Same here as well. You would think they would have specified if we were supposed to reply to the linked email address instead of just replying back to medadm.

Agreed! " You must notify us of your acceptance or refusal of wait list status through return email within 7 days from receipt of this notification." I figured return email meant a reply to that message. I will call Monday if I haven't heard anything back to confirm. There was also a big snow storm there last night, so perhaps offices are closed.

UofL is closed today and will probably be closed tomorrow as well. I would not expect to hear a confirmation until Monday.

Just got acceptance email today, but was wait listed back in November. So good luck to the wait list people and definitely stay confident that it will work out
ah thank you that gives me a glimmer of hope!! just curious are you in state or out of state

Does anyone know exactly how the wait list/wait list pool works?

I know someone who was in consideration for wait list and they claimed he was in the "wait list pool" and then he was notified he was in the waitlisted. So does this mean during March and April they are configuring the wait list into thirds or have they already done the configuring?

Thanks!

I may be wrong, but it is my belief that before early march there was a wait list consideration pool. From this pool they created the final wait list. Finally, on April 24 they will rank the final wait list (top, middle, bottom third)

Does anyone know if senior year grades get taken into consideration for waitlisted people? AKA do I need to be stressing about getting B's in some of my classes? Or do I just not send them my transcript until they have made a decision on me?

I think excelling in senior level courses could only help your case. That's just my opinion however.

Hello everyone! Do we already have a facebook group for the incoming class or should we make one?

Overall GPA 3.71 science/math 3.81
MCAT was 24. I know my mcat is really low. I also have years worth of clinical experience working in healthcare. u?
3.7 gpa and 30 mcat. Shadowing and volunteer work but nothing to crazy.

Do students use Facebook a lot at this school for class stuff, etc? I have seen some other schools that do, but just just wondering about this school specifically. I don't have a Facebook and not dying to make one

Would anyone happen to know how many people are usually on the wait lists (IS and OOS). I've heard somewhere that they invite half the amount of people that they normally accept (so if they accept 160, they invite 80 to be on the wait list because they anticipate that 80 of the accepted students will go somewhere else)...I think that approximately 40 students in the class are OOS and 120 are IS. If all of this is true, does that mean that 20 people are on the OOS wait list and 60 people are on the IS wait list? Of course I called the admissions office to no avail! Can you tell i'm a bit anxious?! :nailbiting:

Does anyone know for sure if they will post the waitlist rank this week?

The email I received on 2/11/15 said "Candidates who are selected for and accept wait list status will be ranked during the month of April and informed of their rank by Friday, April 24." So I am assuming they will post top, middle or bottom 1/3 by/on this Friday.

Yes, they are definitely posting the rankings this Friday. I'm not sure what time to look for it though!

....And for anyone wondering like me, The email informing everyone that wait list positions are posted came out around 4:00 last year. (For all of those chronic email checkers!)

I was actually looking for this yesterday. Thank you for posting!

Just checked my app and I am top 1/3 OOS

Does anyone know when waitlist will start moving? The last day to withdraw is April 30, so does that mean we should start hearing by May 1?

On April 30 they get a list saying who has multiple acceptances. But students actually have until May 15 to decide
Look at the AAMC traffic rules for THIS year.
9. If you receive an offer of acceptance from more than one school or program, choose the school at which you will enroll by April 30. Then, promptly withdraw your application, by written correspondence, from all other schools or programs that have offered you an acceptance.

I have multiple acceptances but I don't have to choose per recent emails until May 15

I also hold multiple acceptances and have been in close contact with those schools. You must withdraw from all but one school by April 30, or else you jeopardize your spot in the class.

I was under the impression April 30th was the day too. Last year it was May 15th, but this year it is April 30th from everything I have heard.

hey did anyone get an email yesterday or did you just check the secondary website??

Would anyone happen to recall how far they get into the OOS wait list? I remember Mrs. Osborne mentioning it on interview day, but I just needed a confirmation.

I believe she said last year they went into the bottom third. Fingers crossed, I'm OOS and middle third!
