Are we thinking that everyone is (rightfully) celebrating the holidays now? Guess on more movement is first week of Jan right?
Can anyone who has interviewed here offer me some advice on what the earliest flight you can comfortably make would be after the interview day? Is anything after around 6 pm safe? Thanks!
The school is right across the river from the airport, so if you have a reliable cab or rental car, you could definitely make it there by 6. My gut says I was done by 4 at the latest, you could make it to the airport in 10 minutes from the campus. Can anyone who has interviewed here offer me some advice on what the earliest flight you can comfortably make would be after the interview day? Do acceptances/waitlist/rejections post-Interview come via email or regular mail? And does it usually take 6-8 weeks, or do they sometimes come sooner?
Does anyone know what information the interviewers have of you before your interview?
Out of curiosity since this is one of my dream schools, what are the chances of acceptance if you received an interview here? Do they accept around 1/3 they interview or is it far less?
Pure speculation, but I'd guess they have to accept ~200-300 (2-3 x ~100 seats) to fill the class. I think they interview about 650? So 250/650 ~= 38%. I'm just going off numbers adcoms on this site have mentioned in the past.Anyone have an answer to this? I've talked with a few UR med students and they didn't know. Thanks!

According to US News and Review last year they interviewed 641 people and accepted 268. For out of state students they interviewed 442 ans accepted 183. I'm sure it will be similar this year unless someone interviewed and they said it would be different.Anyone have an answer to this? I've talked with a few UR med students and they didn't know. Ya, you were about as close as you can get without actually looking it up lol. I'm silly for paying for the membership though.Damn, pretty close.
Nah, I strongly considered getting it.Ya, you were about as close as you can get without actually looking it up lol. I'm silly for paying for the membership though.
is their PF internally ranked (for AOA, dean's letters) or truely unranked?
Any idea of when the wait list will start to move? Are they still interviewing?I've heard that the top 10% get a Dean's letter.
The wait until there's any waitlist movement in excruciating!
Ya they are. I have an interview here on March 2nd.Any idea of when the wait list will start to move? Are they still interviewing?
Interviewed in January, was given the thumbs up already. But I'm pretty sure my interviewers were able to get back to the admissions board fairly promptly. This may not be the case for your interviewers.
When in January? And when did you find out? Stats?
For the sake of anonymity: the third week of Jan, found out last week, LizzyM 70+ but highly doubt that had anything to do with it as other people had higher stats and didn't fare well.

What's the SEM for that? I interviewed this month, and it would be great to know when to expect news.Do you consider the 12th-16th as the third week of January or the 19th-23rd?
Also what day did you find out last week?
Sorry I interviewed during the week of the 19th-23rd and still haven't heard back yet. I've noticed through SDN that Rochester tends to get back to you in 3-5 weeks if they accept you and longer if they don't.
Plus I'm being anxious and neurotic lol

standard error of the mean.Sorry what does SEM mean? The dean at the interview said it takes them 6-8 weeks during his morning presentation, (I think he may have said 4-6 weeks though) but from what I have noticed they seem to accept students much quicker than that. I've looked through this year and last year's threads and that is the trend I noticed
